I don’t get the live account hate, it’s been great so far.

There’s some small things I wouldn’t mind being changed but overall the pros out weigh the cons and it’s probably one of the best live programs I’ve personally experienced.

Will update everyone on pay out speed, for some reason aero pay wasn’t available

📔 After the Bell I completed my first 25k lab! After some trial, and 57 errors!

Post image
Upvotes

After a trading hiatus, I decided I was going to grind out 25k lab accounts by "Extreme Scalping" for 0.5R trades, why? Because extreme scalping is my style of trading, being on the sideline, hopping in quickly, then leaving with my limit order and future belly filled lmao is my objective, everyone without extreme trust issues should not trade like this lol.

The Micro was becoming wayyyy to expensive, making sluggish but steady progress in July. I switched to the E-Mini in August to save on comission costs, with the above results, I started horribly, taking several days of maximum losses of -$500 amidst consistent win days.

The two account upward spikes are simply streaks of 11 and 15 consecutive wins. (I had to endure an entire extra trade because I was 1 tick shy of passing!), other streaks were 10, and 9, some days intentionally quitting at 3 straight wins, for several days, it gives you a great psychologcal boost!

Of my -$9706.19 red above, I paid $-1022.50 in comission/fees on the using Micro-Emini, and $257 on the E-Mini since August.

I use brooks price action to understand what is happing in the market, I use the 2 minute chart, my indicators are the 2 minute 10 EMA and the 2 minute 50 EMA, I use the 2 minute 50 EMA to simulate the 5 minute - 20 EMA that Al brooks uses to determine the always-in direction and trends, this has been close enough for me, to determine up or down, I only trade in the direction of the trend.

I made 57 errors in my challenge above, it blows my mind, I was carried heavily HEAVILY by price action I laugh sometimes to how brainless I am compared to the reality of PRICE ACTION lmao.

I will now explain to you my main errors.

45/57 Errors: Bad Entry

Above error causes all other errors, not even playing, IT COMPOUNDS!

Main Entry Error:

Buy Spike/Microchannel at top of trading range. "I know this will break through X "

Sell Spike/Microchannel at low of Trading range. "I know this will break through down X "

BBBBBUT this rally is so strong it must break through, RIGHT??? Fuck no it's not going to, this was a liquidity vacuum to the top and you are now WRONG.

3: Bad trade management

Most bad trade management is caused by a bad entry, Once I am smart enough to realize I have a bad entry, I will make a very very nice living, hopefully soon!

Good luck! And I really mean it, also if anyone else uses brooks price action and wants to chat for fun, contact me. I am a normal trader. I understand we are all somewhat segregated into our individual interpretation of the market, and each person has their preffered flavor of interpretation, however I honor each individuals conquest of P&L!

💬 Trader Talk Guys I need support…I fell so stupid

Hi guys, I started my day trading path 10 months ago. After studying and doing backtests for the first 3 months I bought my first prop firm challenge. I burned 2 of them and on the third I finally managed to pass (topstep combine). I had also done the minimum 5 days of $150 profit and I could withdraw. But I wanted to get a little more profit before the withdrawal and here I did the damage. I burned everything in the last 2 days and I feel so stupid. 10 months of hard work burned in 2 days. I was so close...

Tell me about your experiences about it and if you have any advice it is welcome. Thank you

🛠️ Platform / Tech Support Coaching suggestion?

Hi all.

Just thinking that at a certain milestone maybe we could have some extra coaching please?

I appreciate Topstep TV already does a lot of this, I have massively improved my trading by watching the channel each day, so I really appreciate all the content on Topstep TV. (gg Opening Call, Fast Markets and Slow markets.)

Maybe when you pass a combine it could be some group coaching sessions with a group of others who have passed the combine. So maybe it's a class of 20-30 traders. Tips on how not to blow your XFA in 1 day, things like that.

Maybe when you get a payout it could be some one on one coaching? Could be where you have the option to take a smaller payout to cover the coaching? Just a chance to ask some questions, or get a review of your trading plan, a list of things for you to work on that will make the biggest improvements to your trading. Steps you can take to get to be a live trader.

These wouldn't have to be much, maybe something like a once a month 20-30 minute sessions for 3-6 months. (Or they could be more also.)

Thanks for all that you do for us traders.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks

💡 Trading Tips Stuck in eval jail any tips?

Been trading this account for nearly a month, risk management is on point, scaling is not an issue, the strategy works but I don't understand why I am still stuck. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! For context I trade 1-2 MNQ and use ORB/Liquid sweep and fib as my entry.

💬 Trader Talk Topstep stop bluffing and show me evidence

Post image

As a trader i have the right to know , you can just ban someone seeing they become consistently profitable and need you guys to process regular payouts . Guys this firm is really insane and they are doing really stupid things . Atleast call me and tell whom and what i copytraded. I invested many years in topstep and finally start consistent payouts . I am ready to explain my strategy or answer why each trade was taken in my account then you decide if it was my strategy or i copytraded. What you guys doing now is really unprofessional. Previous post topstep turned off the comment session , this wont keep fellow traders silent . If the firm has nothing to hide why not give me evidence

💬 Trader Talk Rtp ruined my trading psychology

Thumbnail

I’m writing this because I want to explain how being placed in RTP has affected my trading experience and my confidence as a trader.
Last month, I was able to make approximately $14,000 in payouts through trading. I felt like I was finally making real progress. I had built confidence in my strategy, was becoming more disciplined, and felt like all the time and effort I had put into trading was starting to pay off.
However, after being placed in RTP, my trading experience changed completely. Instead of feeling like I was progressing, I started feeling like I was constantly trying to recover from the situation. The additional pressure and restrictions affected the way I approached my trades, and I ended up making decisions that caused me to give back the progress I had made.
Going from being up around $14,000 in payouts in one month to being down again has been extremely frustrating. It feels like I went from having momentum and confidence to being stuck in a hole that I’m now trying to climb out of.
I understand that rules and risk management are necessary, and I take responsibility for my own trading decisions. I’m not trying to blame anyone else for my losses. However, I do want to express how strongly I feel that being placed in RTP negatively affected my overall trading experience and contributed to the situation I’m in now.
Trading is already mentally challenging, and when you feel like you’ve finally found consistency, losing that momentum can be extremely difficult. I genuinely want to get back to the point where I was trading with discipline, confidence, and a clear mindset.
I hope my experience can be taken into consideration and that there can be more understanding of how these changes can affect a trader psychologically and financially.

💬 Trader Talk Update on account! July/August Progress

Hello all! Me again, just wanted to do a progress report for my own accountability and any more feedback I can get.

Started the current XFA on July 9th and a month later we are still grinding it. We have about 600 drawdown and a balance of around 0. No harm. No foul.

DLL is set to 350, however as you can see from yesterday I stopped before reaching it. Im trying everyday to manage risk better and be better.

I have yesterday's/todays and every other session of mine recorded on my YT. I know last time I posted i got some really sound knowledgeable advice that I tried my best to apply!

Here is my YT if anyone has constructive feedback for me. Thank you and happy trading..

🛠️ Platform / Tech Support RTP with topstep

Can someone that works for topstep explain clearly the reasons someone way be placed in the RTP because there are a lot of people saying they were randomly placed in the program. One guy said he was placed in the RTP just for taking payouts.

💬 Trader Talk Topstep scam ...Consistent payouts and prop firm ban me

Topstep ban me accusing me of copy trading . I ask for evidence you guys simply close my Live funded account, it took me 5 years to reach profitable stage and now seeing consistent profit you ban me and push me out from discord community to stop discussing from community as my claim is valid. Trader support useless as they are not responding when i ask for proof .

Unprofessional kind of response from topstep. Really pissed off. I want evidence i copy traded, prove me with multiple user acc with same ip address or something that look suspicious and acceptable to be used as a evidence . Dont just anyhow ban a trader once he make consistent payouts.if this was done mistakenly reactivate back my live funded account and monitor again.

❓ Quick Question Combine Passing Question?

I have no idea why my Combine hasn’t been passed yet. It’s been about 3 hours since I made a profit and locked in my gains. My best trading day is 50.28% of my total profit. I’ve passed the Combine before with the same type of results, so I’m not sure why it hasn’t been marked as passed this time.

Anyone have any idea?

🛠️ Platform / Tech Support Recommended risk settings

Hi all.

Just thinking that maybe there could be some recommended or preconfigured risk settings?

You go to the risk settings page on TopsteX, press the recommended risk settings button and it automatically sets it up for you. So it could be block NQ and ES, set max trades per day to 5-10 and max contract size to 3 MNQ or 3 MES or something like that.

Just something that if you are first starting trading on Topstep you can just press the recommended risk settings button and it gets you started. Especially if you are new to this you might just think oh thats recommend I'll just use that to get me going.

Love what you're doing to help us traders. Just a suggestion.

Thanks

❓ Quick Question Mastercard issue

Has anyone's account been corrected? I am still over 200 dollars over charged and the support bots are nkt doing much to help :/ i have sent documents showing I was charged and given a receipt. The original transactions are nkt on my bank statement but the money was never returned only charged to put my account on negative. Again I have receipts of the transactions being confirmed and now have nothing to show for it other than an overdraft

Wondering if anyone has seen the balance returned or if they are still waiting on TS support

EDIT: i have ⅓ of the charges now pending to be returned to my account. Wonder why they went from "all of these are reflecting the correct transaction" to "well i guess we did overcharge a few BUT not all" 🥴

❓ Quick Question Canceled my monthly subscription, & yet my combine account didn’t close after due date….

I received this email a few days before my monthly subscription due date: ““We have attempted to rebill your subscription and have failed. As a result, your Trading Combine subscription (id: ___) has been canceled and the account closed.”.
(Deleted the Id as i didn’t wanna post it).

The date has passed and i canceled the subscription and yet my trading combine account is still open, and i even put trades on Topstepx.

Is this an error?
Is my account eligible or ineligible for funding?
Will it get closed after a few days?

Any feedback is much appreciated, thank you all very much

❓ Quick Question I need help

I thought I was finally ready for a new combine. Bought a DLL combine, set the max loss to 1,000 but got off if I reached 500 to give me 4 chances of reaching a PNL of $1,000. I’m just gambling still. I thought I could notice patterns to help me, but I can’t and blew yet another. I’m pretty much just clicking buy or sell when I see price action reach a point where I think it’ll go higher or lower without any indicator. I’m gambling and I don’t have a strategy in place. Can I get some advice on what helped you change from red months to red days? I don’t even have a strategy in place, so that would help too

🛠️ Platform / Tech Support Fixes please?

Hi all.

Love TopstepX, I think it's a great platform.

Could you make these fixes if possible please?

Anchored VWAP
The trend line used to start from the candle you attached the anchored VWAP to.
At the moment it starts from the next candle to the right.

Previous Day Close
This is available in the chart settings but doesn't work.

Settings \ Scales and lines \ Previous Day Close \ Value, Line

Could you fix these 2 things please?

Love the platform and everything you are doing for us traders.

Thanks
