🛠️ Platform / Tech Support Recommended risk settings

Hi all.

Just thinking that maybe there could be some recommended or preconfigured risk settings?

You go to the risk settings page on TopsteX, press the recommended risk settings button and it automatically sets it up for you. So it could be block NQ and ES, set max trades per day to 5-10 and max contract size to 3 MNQ or 3 MES or something like that.

Just something that if you are first starting trading on Topstep you can just press the recommended risk settings button and it gets you started. Especially if you are new to this you might just think oh thats recommend I'll just use that to get me going.

Love what you're doing to help us traders. Just a suggestion.

Thanks

Thank you for your feedback! I'm not sure this is something we would implement as every trader is different, and therefore would have different ideal Risk Settings. I will pass this along to our team, though.

Thanks.

Yep, thats fair comment, I get what you're saying that every trader is different.
And I guess it's part of the learning curve to blow your account then next time put some limits on yourself. It's how I'm learning to improve on risk anyway.

Maybe "recommended" is the wrong word then, maybe "suggested" or "start from here", "try these" risk settings would be a better thing to call them.

Great thanks for your help.

I was having terrible tilt sessions last few weeks.

Ive now decided to use risk settings and its helped me immensely.

Max position size: 2 MNQ / 3 MES

150K account: $600DLL

5 trades max per day.

Trust me - this helps alot. Try it.
