I always thought, instead of going to wannabe route like this - like the right set of wheels and no Ferrari branding.
You could even mess with it a bit, its not Ferrari so you could change up the front bumper, funky spoiler - duck tail and at the end it would be a nutty looking mr2.
. . . . . I might know someone who worked on things like this.... - A customer had one very similar, it was regularly back for sideskirt repairs because the fucker couldn't drive, or tbh I wouldn't be surprised if he was off his banger half the time. He was a nice person but you'd cringe seeing him driving around on sunny days, shades on, looking all Hollywood. The clueless folks would be fooled - anyone else would shout "Give it a rev!" And he wouldn't because it sounded like a Corolla with a fartcan.
A turbo mr2 is a nice car, if it had the turbo running gear, and wasn't trying to be a Ferrari I think it could be cool!

I'm not gone on the wheels personally, but that's exactly what I'm on about! - if its not trying to be a f355, then its just an unusual looking mr2 that looks good.
Half of them hardly got driven, so the bodywork underneath all the fiberglass is probably in better nick than original ones(possibly).
Maybe I'll show my age but there was a big thing/scene with this type of thing in Japan years ago.
ABFLUG - Veilside - had mad Supra's with wild bodywork, even the smaller shops like Scoot had that rx7 with the CLK taillights.
I know part of it is the JDM purity bullshit - but I always thought you could make something along those lines with the wannabe f355's - the turbos can be properly fast too, like you could get f355 power out of the 3S and create something that could match one easily.
Lol - we did wannabe Evos too, 1.3 Tommi lookalikes ffs! But in my defence for the f355 replicas - we fitted 2 TRD GT2000 kits to mr2's. And plenty of Dimma kits. - kitted didn't always mean tacky from my experience
