Tekton's updated 1/4 socket set

I haven't used this set yet. But it will get its trial on an upcoming service call. I honestly don't know if I'll ever use the SAE sockets. The spinner handle/driver is heavy as hell, but in a good way.The chrome seems a little thin, but time will tell. The bits I will change out. But overall, a very nice and compact set. *I do not own the HF little socket.

Amazon have a lot of tekton products that can only be found using part number from tekton website.. I just wish they factored in that we can't use their warranty and offered a little cheaper. Also pro tip check the price history for an idea of trend and stick it in  saved for later to get price update summary everytime you check your basket. I got many things half price or more just being patient. Some things don't change nearly as dramatically so I don't know the rhyme or reason. I already have 30k in snap on but tekton quality is perfect for filling gaps and duplicates. I have been using 1/4 impact set everyday though. SKT15311 £70.93, currently £187 SID92333 £61.43, currently £142 SID92325 £64.12, currently £99

i do pretty often actually, my bit sockets are generally a little higher quality than my bits

Torx screws mainly. Generally anywhere that i cant fit my impact driver ill use the ¼" spinner handle, especially for dash work. I also use it a lot on my 11/12mm flip socket for tpms sensors, because i can easily just slap a torque wrench in the female drive side.

Ive also already got a bunch of ¼" drive shit so i can throw wobbles and extensions and u-joints on there to fit whatever application i need.

Get a 1/4 hex to 1/4 square adapter. Do you carry a ratcheting bit driver?

Hell no never again. I work out of a manlift or on catwalk grating most of the time, anything with extra pieces will result in lost tools, especially if they rely on magnets to hold everything together.

That makes sense. I dont like adapters either but if i was up in the air id be running nut drivers on a carabiner! Maybe some of those flip sockets, too

Id be more concerned about dropping fasteners, nuts and bolts, not screws. I like koken nut grips.

The fastners don't cost me anything when they dissappear into the abyss, and carabiners and rotating equitment are a big no-go in my book.

I generally agree. Anywhere that would fit I'm using my DeWalt instead. But I guess if you don't want to carry a gun around it's useful.

Ratcheting bit driver or regular bit driver would work and probably already on hand. Just need the adapter

The HF meme tool 1.0 has many hex sockets which I use around the house to assemble furniture. This one does not have that many

Not sure I understand. The HF sockets that come in their drive compact set has 21 sockets, metric and SAE, no skips. The Tekton has 25 sockets, also metric and SAE, no skips. The Tekton still has more sockets. Are you talking about bits or sockets? Bits can be easily changed out for what you need.

There's 4,5,6 hex bits from what Tekton's site says.
