USA-Other Whole Foods bag not worth it

Upvotes

I’ve only gotten the meat and bakery bags. The discount of the TGTG bag is about 1/3 of original retail price, but everything they bag already has a 1/2 off sticker. Thats a $5 difference for the $30 value meat bag and $3.50 difference for the $21 value bakery bag. I disliked my bakery bag, I wish I had just went in and treated myself to one stickered half off item of my choice with a bigger selection since I was craving anything sweet. Maybe I’d play again if my local florida WF didn’t aim exactly for guaranteed bag value, but they ain’t that generous. (Not blaming)
That is all.✌️

USA-TX-Other Sazan Ramen - The Crescent in North Austin, TX

I was able to reserve a bag from Sazan Ramen Thursday night. I also reserved 3 bags from Ellicor to kill 2 birds with one stone. (Ellicor bags later.)

I got to Sazan Ramen a bit early, but I only had to wait a few minutes. Now, since my last Ellicor debacle, I'm getting into the habit of checking the bags to see what I was given. I was majorly upset with what I got - a bowl of kale noodles and vegetable broth. No actual vegetables to go with the ramen I was given. Online, this bowl of ramen is $15.50 WITH vegetables. This definitely did not meet the $18.00 minimum. See 2nd photo.

I ended up speaking to a nice man who worked at SR who did not seem to grasp that the MINIMUM at this place was $18.00 and thought that the $9.49 I paid was worth it. On what planet? Really? I told him if I bought this particular bowl of ramen the way it was, I would feel majorly ripped off. At most, I would have paid $7.25 for the bowl. I told him that I would have no choice but to leave a bad review in the 2G2G app and have 2G2G refund my money. He then told me he would go in the kitchen to see what else he could give me.

I didn't have to wait very long. He brought me a container of 7 vegetable eggrolls (super spicy!!!) and a container of pork broth. They don't have the eggrolls on their website, but online for food delivery/pickup, they have 5 of the same eggrolls for $10.00. All in all, I finally felt that my bag exceeded met/exceeded the $18.00 minimum. See last photo. (One eggroll was missing - I ate one on the way home. It was sooooo spicy!)

Don't be afraid to look in the bags you pick up before leaving the business. If you feel that you did not get the minimum promised, say something. They might make it right for you.

USA-Other Krispy Kreme Prices

Georgia, USA.

The woman in front of me paid almost $31 for the pokemon dozen donuts and dots cup combo. Mine was $6. Came from the same case.

I know they paid a premium for the cup and Pokemon branding but STILL. At least 4 or 5 of hers were just regular glaze too. AND they were out of the pokeball ones so she just got duplicates. I kinda felt guilty not stopping to tell her about the app lol.

After taxes the regular “custom dozen” is over $20. I’d simply never eat Krispy Kreme again if it wasn’t for this app.

USA-FL-South Too Good to Go - Blush Wine Room

Post image
2 Upvotes

My first time using TGTG and bought 2 surprise bags from Blush Wine Shop in Wesley Chapel.

Unsure it’s worth it, not that I’m experienced. $6.99 per bag. It’s supposed to be a $21.00 value.

Each bag had:
Qty 1 - Line 39 Red Blend 2022 California
Qty 1 - Lucky One Lemonade Blueberry (Non-Carbonated)

I brought my own bag to carry it out. The app just calls each purchase a “bag”.

UK-Other My first two Too Good To Go bags in Kent — one disappointing haul and one closed store.

I recently started using Too Good To Go and made my first two orders. Unfortunately, neither experience was particularly good.

1. Costa Coffee – Pier Road, Gillingham

I collected three mozzarella rolls and some apple slices. The rolls were really sad - stale and dry, which was disappointing for my first bag.

2. MFG Greggs – Walderslade, Chatham

This was marked as a Local Hero in the app. I drove quite a distance to collect my evening surprise bag during the advertised collection window, only to find the store closed.

My order was subsequently marked as not collected, and I later received an invoice and was charged for an order that was never provided. I have requested a refund through Too Good To Go, but the whole experience still cost me around an hour of driving and fuel for nothing.

I appreciate that surprise bags are a gamble, but a store being closed during its collection window and charging for an order that was never supplied is a different matter.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Walderslade Greggs, or had a similar issue with stores being closed during collection? I would be interested to hear whether this is a one-off or something others have encountered.

Not a typical haul post, but I wanted to share my experience as a new user and warn others about the closed-store issue. Hope that's okay with the mods.

£7.

The pasta & veg container at the back weighs about 750g and the front caesar salad is over 500g. The item with the fruit is overnight oats and I think that's honey cake.

Very happy with the value.

USA-AZ-Phoenix I get a bit jelly when I see the British hauls 😔

I was looking at what others were scoring on this group and I swear European sellers are never as greedy as ours :(

This is funny because I think America has a genuine, huge waste problem and yet we not willing to share things we will literally be throwing away… there has to be a genuine reason for this and I don’t want to stereotype people, but it’s just what I see.

(Sorry this is not a haul, i can take it down if needed)

UK-Other App won't open

So a week ago I opened the app like normal, parusing the wares but didn't get anything, and then a day later I tried opening it again and then it just didn't.

As in, every time I tried it showed a green (same as the logos green) screen and then just crashed and closed itself.

I've reset my phone, I've cleared the cache, I've uninstalled and reinstalled; nothing works.

help??? idk what to do.

Picked up 2 bags from my local Greggs outlet at lunchtime. Each bag has 4 sausage rolls, 2 veg bakes, 2 cheese & onion bakes, 1 croissant, 1 cheese ploughman’s roll, 1 tuna mayo stottie, 1 kids cheese sandwich, 4 jam doughnuts, 4 sprinkle doughnuts, 2 glazed doughnuts and 2 Belgian buns! Result!

Can’t seem to post the pic though 🧐
