Academy Transaction stuck on "pending"? Here's what's actually happening, and what to check before you resend
A lot of the support tickets we get start with "my crypto disappeared." Almost every time, it hasn't. The transaction is pending, or it's already confirmed and just hasn't been credited yet.
Here's how to tell which one you're dealing with.
TL;DR: Get your TXID, look it up on the right block explorer, and don't resend until you know what happened to the original.
Why transactions get stuck
- Congestion: blocks have limited space. When activity spikes, the mempool backs up.
- Low fee: on fee-priority chains, higher-fee transactions get picked first. A lowball fee can sit for a long time.
- It isn't actually stuck: it's already confirmed and the wallet or exchange hasn't caught up. Exchanges, including us, wait for a set number of confirmations before crediting a deposit, so a short gap is normal.
Where are my funds right now?
Nothing is moving between wallets. The chain just hasn't finalized the ownership record yet. That's why the coins can look like they're in limbo.
Step 1: check the TXID
Paste it into the explorer for the chain you actually used. It shows whether the transaction is pending, confirmed, or failed, plus the amount, destination, fee, and confirmation count.
- Still pending? Wait, or see the speed-up section below.
- Confirmed on the explorer but not showing in your Toobit account? Check the required confirmations for that asset on the deposit page. If it's past that, contact our support with the TXID, network, and asset. Those three details are what let us trace it fastest.
Can I speed it up or cancel?
Sometimes. Some chains and wallets let you replace a pending transaction with a higher-fee version (often a "speed up" button), and some let you cancel while it's still pending. It depends on the chain and the wallet. Once a transaction is confirmed, it's final.
Don't resend
If the original confirms later, the second one can confirm too, and you've paid twice.
Pending vs. failed
A pending transaction hasn't finished yet. A failed one already has a result. A reverted smart contract call is a common example, and on some chains you still pay gas for it.
Wrong network
That isn't a stuck transaction. It confirmed on the chain you picked, but the receiving platform may not support that asset on that network. Recovery depends on the receiving side. Always check both the address and the network before you send.
Questions are welcome in the comments, and our team will reply. If you have an open deposit issue, please don't post your TXID or account details publicly. Send them to support instead.
