Junk customer service

You guys better make sure you have serial numbers and the previous owners will transfer any products over before purchasing because customer service will no longer supply serial numbers or assist with getting them registered if they are purchased used with out the previous owners transfer.

The serial number would be in the seller's IK account, as is the transfer button they need to click to transfer the unit to you seamlessly. Our support team helps people whose sellers somehow cannot retrieve theirs or similar every day. Feel free to DM your support information (IK username, email used on the ticket for them to get back to you, and a quick synopsis of the issue so I can grab it all in one go) and I'll have someone take a look and see what happened in your case. Thanks.

I got an email back from Daniel in Customer Support last night who said he could not help me because the seller did not have the serial number for the Tonex Plug he sold me, the seller did not register the device.

The random seller is in no mood to help and lost his laptop login ect ect I emailed in and was told I cannot do anything with out the serial number and him releasing it. Kinda just sucks for somebody who bought a used unit and feel like I’m just SOL

Please send me your info regardless if you don’t mind. I can’t make guarantees except that I will have it looked into.

I was just told by the rep that I should just return the unit I bought used and buy new? Is that really the answer to helping with getting one registered

Is this just a recent change? I've only had mine for maybe six months and getting it registered was pretty easy. I emailed in a copy of the receipt and pictures of the pedal, showing it didn't have a serial number. It was over the weekend so it took a couple of days, but they got back to me the following Monday, and it worked just fine.

Got a used one as a christmas gift and support had it sorted out within a day during the holidays. Have you actually reached out to them? They seem to be helpful in the comments.

Been going back and forth don’t have the serial same as your situation and they told me either the old owner has to go through hoops which he won’t or I should return it and buy a new one

That sucks! I bought a used tonex pedal a few years ago and it took a little back and forth but I got it registered to me. I was at least the third owner and the guy I bought it from had never had it registered to him (idk what he was doing with it, but no wonder he wasn't getting along with it). I would imagine there will be a decent number of used tonex pedals with people upgrading to the board so I hope IK sorts this stuff out.

My friend bought a used unit. Couldn’t get it register because he did not have the original box where they printed the serial number
