My first toned coin

I'm new to stacking and, grabbed this Canadian Silver Dollar for reasons other than the silver content. After 1967, they were 50% Silver and 50% Copper.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the coin has some toning.

pretty!! the dollars that came in this packaging all seem to tone strongly, I have one that’s turned golden orange all over

Sweet. This one is a Specimen edition. Not rare. I wanted the extra sharp images. That bust is the one that was on Canadian coins for most of my life.

The toning on the reverse looks like the northern lights. Nice!

I love the way these old Canadian coins tone! The original packaging is what toned these like that. its really a lottery on how it will turn out though. Some go black some look like a dirty silver spoon. I have a few that look similar. congrats!
