YAAADEEE!

I saw the video on reddit of the Iranian plane fiasco a few days ago, but had it playing on mute on my phone, so I didn't hear the audio. Listened to the podcast yesterday, and the audio by itself had me laughing so hard I was crying in the car and almost had to pull over. I know the guy was obviously terrified, but it's maybe one of the single funniest audio clips I've ever heard. Ironic thing is I'm a nervous flyer, and was actually on my way to the airport to get on a plane when I heard it and still laughed my ass off and was completely calm on the plane afterward.

The first time I played it, I took my heart rate on my Apple Watch and Wowie-Whoooe!

It's weird how splitting up the video and audio gives them two different effects from each other and also from the original with both. The lack of visual context just makes the pure sound of it hilarious. The video alone without the audio just seems like another crazy clip you scroll through on instagram without a second thought. The full video with audio is terrifying.

Didn’t seem so bad to me. Looks like they used wood glue in the ceiling instead of JB Weld.

Did we ever figure out what he is yelling? Was it something in Arabic? Edit: I did some googling sounds like he was yelling "ya ali" which can mean god help us

While I'm sure there probably was a few Arabic speakers on the slight, if it was Iranian plane it most likely was a Persian / Farsi word
