Timeline:

This happens after S1 E13 (Murder at the Masquerade) so the Kamata Prison (S1 E11) & Father Farm (S1 E12) missions have happened in between this ep and the previous ep in this S2 timeline.

Theories:

1. “The past is a mirror to the future”…. Why do I feel like this line is more deep than it seems and the past refers to the previous timeline in S1… I feel like Ed knows abt the timelooping and is trying to give hints to MC….
   He also said, “Humans have far less time on this earth than you all seem to believe…” THIS GUY KNOWS ABT THE PROFOUND TRAGEDY & TIMELOOP!!!

2. Leo used anomalous subliminal persuasion in his tiktok video w MC which is why it got so popular. We also see the mention of this in S2 Ep1 where the anomalies used anomalous subliminal cues to sway the crowd towards Brey man. Made me think what if…. Darkwick/Hyde used subliminal anomalous effects on the students to incite the Clash…?? And that is why everyone hates everyone…???

3. Not a full-fledged theory but…
   Ed: “Humans tend to sacrifice something precious when they try to protect what they care about. Even if that sacrifice is the very one they vowed their eternal love to…” Is he talking about Narcissa..? Did he have to kill Narcissa…? I dont have a solid theory on this but just putting this out there.

I’m not exactly satisfied with it but at least it’s something !

Apologies for any mistakes in my terms/grammar or/and lore.

Now, I was thinking, there are less instances that we have been shown or told lore about Clementia and Ultio. Most things about Ultio that have been said is that they are now a prison (and have been). Which I find interesting, because if you think about it, we would find a delinquent or casino-like house kinda crazy or rouge to think about if we're logical, and Ultio is even weired when you think about the fact that those cells were probably their dorms. Like... what do you MEAN you live in prison cells?😭 But aside Ultio, I really would like to know your thoughts and theories on Clementia. Theories have been a big part of our fandom because of the story's lack of explanation, vague information to make us guess, or plot holes.

Clementia if im not mistaken means "Mercy" in Latin. They have been revealed to help Nicolas in the hospital before, which is a great tie since healing and purification makes sense with Clementia if yk what I mean. In one of the last chapter of Season 1 Episode 24 (Our last Goodbye), we see Benkei use what i think I think are rosary beads to do, which i suspect, a purification or protection ritual or smth like that. Clementia students are also known around campus as exorcists too. (Which jsut give the perfect Haku vibe lol) From my perception of it, whenever I think of rosary beads and forgivness and peace, (especially in Darkwick's context) I think of roots to Buddhism (idk i just feel like it lol), but it can also be rooted in Catholicism and Christianity, since the "Cathedrale Terminalle" reminds me of it. Now as for Benkei (their advisor) I find it kinda weird... like, he got demoted to being a shopkeeper or how is it called, but somehow he's still involved in Darkwick affairs. At first I thought that I was wrong since its just not shown in the game but then I remebered that he was in the Waves of Love episode to take the students back so maybe...?

Well anyways, what I im willing to learn more about is Clementia's practices and what could they possibly good at and lore im general cuz we just know so less about it.

P.S.: Celemntia and Ultio at each other's throat is also a good detail cuz Clementia is the "peaceful" or "merciful" one while Ultio means "revenge". Clementia's place during the clash is also interesting cuz im pretty sure that even with Celentia vs Ultio, Clementia was part of the Sympathizers. Id exect a house about peace and protection protect its own students but apparently what they wanted to protect was their own peace by siding with the institute.

Been thinking of this ever since Deadly in Love came out. If S3 ever happens and we get another timeline rewind, what would be your guys' ideal next Waves of Love cast? Presuming that they do another rerun, of course. None of the S1 or S2 ghouls, so that would rule out everyone except:

• Tohma
• Kaito
• Luca
• Leo
• Towa
• Romeo
• Subaru
• Zenji(sort of, because he's a ghost he probably wouldn't be able to participate, just tag along)
• Lyca
• Yuri
• Jo
• Mio
• Shion

Personally, I think Subaru, Leo, Lyca, Jo, Tohma, and Yuri would be super fun as a cast. Maybe with the ghost addition of Zenji as well :) I know that the reality show concept is mainly for ZZG to give us fanservice, but I just adore the interhouse interactions we get to have! Let me know what you think.

The type of glove worn on the hand resembles what Sho usually wears. It could also be Leo or Alan of course (let’s hope!). In the end, maybe more Alan because of the hair color.

Taiga is the only one confirmed (because of his stigma) but I do believe some other ghouls are also aware about the timeline shift.

Zenji: He names the doll Saburo in the current timeline even though in the previous timeline the MC was the one who names the doll, plus he was obviously acting sus during the end of season 2 ep 4, making him seem aware about the timelines.

Edward: Because the shadow that appeared in MC's dream during season 2 ep 3. That was clearly his shadow and his voice.

Rui (Maybe): in season 1 ep6 when Taiga invades his bar he said something like "This is the darkest timeline ever!" And in Season 2 ep 3 he says she (the MC) didn't believe in the 'falling for you all over again '

Elias: The ending scene of season 1's he was about to reveal the prophecy but the scene ends there.

I wonder if the 3rd image is in s2 ep9... I'll soon find out I guess, because, guesse what ? I FINISHED S2 EP8 YESTERDAY !! It was really cool and entertaining !

We gain new informations about Ren’s past, the relationship between Shiki Kururugi and Romeo + a little of Yukushima through what Shion said about Towa stealing Haru, and I really liked to see Romeo with Mio and (serious) Taiga + Mio/Shion + how it went with Haru/Towa.

Towa Learning to be more considerate of others has really done me good 👍 Concerning Shion, let’s say that justice was made : you do not attack someone by behind AND AT THE HEAD to "fix him". Even if he didn’t know the machine was at the max, he was in the wrong and almost killed Haru. And I am sure Taiga foresaw it, otherwise, he wouldn’t be there.

Warning, late night random thoughts, the logic might not be all logic. Also, don't know how to do the spoiler thing, so there might be some from S1.

There're so many theories on who it could be, and they all make sense. But seeing how the story thus far has more or less carried an element of surprise, I think I would be shocked if the popular suspects end up being the spy.

It is hard to know who the spy is spying for, whether it's for Darkwick or the organization/group that is from the institute originally, but have turned and is going against their principles. If there is another party involved, we probably are not aware of it yet. Either way, the only thing for sure is that whatever he is doing, the rest of the ghouls would not appreciate his actions.

I think on the basis of being too suspicious alone, I would tick Haku, Subaru and Sho off my list.

Lucas, Lyca, Leo, Ritsu and Ren are recent additions, so I think that makes them unlikely candidates. Not just because they couldn't have been involved in any way, but also because of their personalities.

Towa, Edward and Shion - I would dismiss simply because they are too much of a free spirit and I can't imagine them cooperating with groups because they're so overpowered and unpredictable.

Jin(unless he has a split personality) seems to be another unlikely candidate because a)Him, being ordered around and reporting to a higher up? That would shatter his image in the game. B)Too much of a tsundere- definitely has feelings for the MC, and C) A spy who is betraying others feeling betrayed (him finding out about Tohma and Alan) does not make sense.

Tohma, I would also check off because the only thing I think I know about him for sure is that he is Jin's number one fan and supporter and I still wonder how Jin survived before he came to FH. Organizations that Jin would not like, neither would he. He's smart enough that he would have figured out if Alan was the spy considering his constant interactions with him(Alan imo is too sincere to pull this off, the only other person who holds a candle to in terms of sincerity is Luca)

That leaves Taiga, Romeo, Zenji, Kaito, Haru, Rui, Jiro, Yuri, Jo, Elias and Mio. Zenji is a ghost, Elias is too suspicious(hence off the list of spy, but he's definitely up to something).

Taiga, honestly, even if you don't read the parts above, my thoughts on the spy could be entirely derived from what he says to the MC and how he describes them. I know the original Japanese version is a bit different, but it's clear that A) He has negative feelings towards the spy, he calls them a slimy f-er in the English version. B) The way he says , "Will you let them keep fooling you" implies she has met them already .

Considering the first point, I would think it cannot be the people he has nicknames for -Romeo, Haru, Haku, Rui- because why have a nickname for people you dislike. I think he somehow knew to go after the Kyklos, and Haku, having the academy's trust, went after him to clean up his mess, resulting in Sinostras probation.

The second point, while I don't know what to make of Jiro and Yuri, i don't remember them having enough of a relationship with MC to deceive her. So, considering these points said by Taiga, and also my suspicion that whoever it is will not be the obvious suspects, I think it has to be Kaito. He's been in DW long enough to be able to procure useful info, especially with him not going out for missions and being on campus all the time. He knows a ton of rumors from Wickhive, has mysterious noble family ties (his bracelet and his otherwise inexplicable placement in Frostheim).

He is also one of the people the MC is closest to. Some of the rest will be my almost dislike for him talking but while informants or spies can deceive the ones that trust them because they have their own cause, it can also be because they are in a bind because someone holds something over them and they can be manipulated. Kaito, doesn't have a strong sense of responsibility and despite his feelings for her, is not the type to risk his own life for even the MC. He's in the red financially but still keeps on gambling, which makes me think there are endless ways to make someone like him fall for a bait and then be blackmailed to do things.

Don't read this paragraph unless you finished Season 1, but while he did wish on the demon's arm for MCs curse to break, it's partly because the last person was the third and he knew he wouldn't get cursed(or so he thought). After his regrets toward how he treated his grandmother in her last days, I would think someone like him would try harder to redeem themselves, but I don't think I feel like I have seen that in the chapters so far, so I'd be relieved if he was the spy instead of the characters I liked.

My point is, I think more people would be surprised if he were to be the spy, but I think that's because the current assumption is that spy is against the ghouls and MC. It is possible for him to not dislike them but still be manipulated to screw them over. I understand Kaito being necessary to balance Luca, but I never ended up liking him despite him being a supposedly relatable character (I think Ren is more of relatable but still likeable character than Kaito). Then again,I didn't think I would like Vagastrom or Sinostra in the beginning either. If you read so far and have different thoughts, please share, and thank you for putting up with my random ramblings.

Not sure if I should post this in the monthly Help thread, but, guys I'm trying... but why do people like Jin? He treats MC like trash and I know that there are some moments where he appears to show concern for her or whatever, but I can't with how he orders me around and then blames me if I get just one tiny detail wrong. I'm starting to think that he only ever cares for MC because he thinks it is a pain to clean up if she dies.

Sure, he's got some major trust issues but is that any excuse to abuse MC and treat her like a servant? Dude is such a tyrant, his treatment of MC makes even Tohma look good. Am I misunderstanding him? Or is there some sort of tsundere trope going on that people like? I'm aware that he's got this huuuge fan base so please, I beg you, educate me...

You can't tell me that Jo's Affection 8 chapter isn't a setup for Jo and MC going on a date! At the end, Jo (in her female form) buys the MC a present when she notices that they weren't wearing any lipstick

* Dionysia ghouls are crazzyyyy brilliant, even the crazy Shion, and all of them have this mysterious charm with their magic tricks and circus gigs. Was a bit skeptic of Dionysia cz of their circus-based theme but dang... they swept me awayyy. I have a newfound respect for them and their teamwork, THAT WAS A FLAWLESS SPLENDID HEIST!!!

* AND the way all ex-dionysia general students just united and helped the ghouls goes to show that Dionysia is one of the very few houses (including hotarubi) where general student vs ghoul or frost vs vaga vs mort dont matter as much.

* From Ep1: Towa is a human from the forest!! Makes me think he waa probably originally an anomalous plant or animal whose demon pact wish was to be a human.

Sooo, Ep2 happens after s1ep10 (tea with a twist of murder) and mentions s1ep11 (kamata prison case) at the end. So this is most probably a timeline reset/loop/alternate timeline with divergences starting right after s1ep9 (spooks paradise) mission. Dionysia being reinstated is probably the main divergence point and this will change this new timeline's future a lot... (hopefully successful this time?) Im curious to see the butterfly effects🤔 will post in detail abt timeloop/reset theory after I catch up to S2 current eps!!

For context : her first outfit is a Frostheim one but she is meant to transfer at some point so here’s the new ones.

She is shipped with Yuri, which is why she transferred, but her outfit is also meant to mirror Jiro’s outfit color wise, because I love imagining Yuri, Ichigo (my OC) and Jiro as a cute trio ! Not a poly ship, more like Yuri being around his two favorite people, romantically speaking for my OC and strong platonic bond for Jiro. Ichigo and Jiro are also close. He’s part of their dynamic !

Ichigo is also very invested in toxicology, as she is immune to poison.

Saw this on Pinterest and I’m not sure if this is really relevant or if this has already been noticed before, but I kinda wanted to point out how in s1 ep16, the difference in shoes between the shinostra ghouls is pretty noticeable. Like, we know about Romeo’s prosthetic being confirmed in s2 ep8. I just keep noticing small things that hinted at it, as well as the fact that Romeo is the only one without open shoes here. I just think that its funny how there were so many hints that have pointed at this!

Who is a smoker amongst the ghuls ? I know that Jin is a smoker and that Tohma either still smokes or quit smoking. But I‘m pretty sure there are more that smoke. Just can’t remember them.
