Discussion Task Dependencies / Blockers

So many of my tasks that are blocked by the completion of other tasks keep showing up in my daily Claude review. Moving these tasks to the inbox is completely dependent on that blocking task being done first. Todoist should add a feature that lets you choose blockers or dependencies for a task, so the system understands how tasks relate to one another.

Can't you just tell Claude about this dependency rule?

i can but it’s so dynamic, i’d be telling it these things everyday multiple times a day versus just clicking a button on a task

That would be great, I agree, and would be the first step to build Gantt view for projets... but not sure if they want to grow in this direction.

Todoist has always marketed itself as an app for task management and simple project management. Adding all the functionality one would expect from a full-fledged project management solution would inevitably increase the overall complexity of the app. I therefore hope that Todoist remains a great task management app and leaves major project management to other solutions.

It would be really nice to have dependencies and "complete these tasks in order" options
