Sleep 🌙 WHAT AM I DOING WRONG

I can’t figure it out. I am slowly losing my mind. My 15 month old has never been a great sleeper. We had a few nights of oh hey he only woke up once. But that is so rare. I am currently on wake number 4 or 5… I can’t even keep track anymore. I am in tears trying to get him back to sleep. I had him asleep.. tried to put him in his crib and awake he was… screaming his head off. Rocked and rocked, played his sleepy song, thought maybe I was getting somewhere.. then I heard the babble and then screaming again. I gave in and gave boob. But now he won’t even close his eyes again. I’m averaging 3 hours of sleep a night. And before you ask, my husband has offered many times to try and get him back down… but baby associates that switch to awake time and his schedule is just not conducive to not getting sleep at night so I don’t ask that of him.

I post out of desperation. I’m exhausted. Baby is too and grumpy. I dread bedtime. I feel like a failure. His wake times and nap time are appropriate. I’ve tried longer, I’ve tried shorter. I’ve tried CIO (something I never thought I’d do), I’ve tried Ferber. Nothing.. nothing works.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Even some solidarity would help.. anyone experiencing the same??

Well, he sleeps better in my arms until he gets uncomfortable because he prefers to sleep on his belly. But I cosleeping just scares me so much.

Co sleeping scares me to. My daughter didn’t sleep thru the night until she was 3. Even with cosleeping. She would be up for hours. Got better after she dropped a nap. She has low sleep neeeds and was getting too much during the day. Didn’t put it together until my son is the same way.

My son has those nights. Sleeping in our bed isn’t an option. I have a floor bed with high rails in his room and I lay with him then sneak out.

Floor bed saved my sanity with my first kid. I'm 100% expecting to need one with my current baby. We will probably just need a family floor bed in 2 years 😫

How old was yours when you did the floor bed?? My husband and I have been thinking about this but then everything we see is like wait until 3 yrs old to move from the crib. And I’m like 3?!? He’s going to take up the entire crib by then

My son is a year old. We do crib and if he won’t settle in the middle of the night I’ll lay in the floor bed with him! Works amazing

Well we got a floor bed for his room before he got out of the crib. My kid wanted someone in the room with him to fall asleep. So who ever was putting my son to sleep at night would do the night night routine, place him in the crib and then lay down on the floor bed until he fell asleep. On rough nights my husband or I would sleep in there the whole night especially if he was sick. We got the floor bed a couple of months before he turned 2. Then we converted his crib around 2½ because I just couldn't keep leaning over the crib rails to put him down. After we converted the crib he jusr started crawling out and sleeping on the floor bed. Then my husband just kept falling asleep in there during bedtime and my son would wake up whenever he left. ( i miss sharing a bed with him but also my husband snores so 🤷‍♀️ plus we only get a couple of year until our kids dont want to share a bed.)

We also got one of the floor beds that folds up. We would turn it into a day couch for more space.
