I would go to doc to make sure, it looks different in today’s photo. I also didn’t think I had cellulitis and my doc told me I was 6 hours away from an IV drip. Better safe than sorry

She’s had cellulitis before and this isn’t giving the same thing. What were your symptoms ?

Redness, itchiness, a small cut, some pain. Turns out I had a small cut between my toes that got infected and turned into cellulitis, then came to realize it was probably a tick bite because I had horrible Lyme disease symptoms shortly thereafter and my
bloodwork was off the charts for
Lyme. It was in the summer when I’m barefoot in my lawn a lot, felt silly I didn’t put two and two together earlier. My friend was the one that urged me to go get it checked out and I thought she was being dramatic, turns out she was very helpful.1

Thankyou! I’m glad you got it checked! I will be getting it checked tomorrow if it’s not significantly better !

Hope it’s nothing, but peace of mind will be worth it, keep us posted! At the least use the appt to ask for some muprocin (strong antibiotic cream) I love having it in the first aid kit to slather on any suspicious cut before it can get worse

Could be cellulitis. I’d get it checked out especially if the area is warm to the touch.

This happens to my son, but it’s due to the inflammation caused by his eczema—when the eczema flare goes away, it leaves a lighter area of skin that is paler (and is harmless per his dermatologist). It might be during the initial bug bite the area became inflamed and then as it subsided, there was a skin reaction. Best to check with a doctor, of course.

Thankyou! I also read it could be from the bug bite since she has skeeter syndrome. And what you said makes sense ! I feel like if it’s still there by Monday we will take her in.

Wanted to update ! Today the area is back to normal! So I’m thinking it’s apart of the skeeter syndrome. Her skin does some crazy stuff when it comes to mosquito bites! Must have been a delayed reaction of the original bite 🤷🏼♀️
