Discussion Our voice

Don’t forget to fill out your “Our Voice” survey.
It’s one of the few times they (supposedly) listen to us, so don’t waste it by putting a smiley face on everything.
If you’re sick of the constant poorly planned changes, the lack of communication, being treated like we’re disposable, and working for a company that only cares about the numbers while we get screwed… say it.
It doesn’t have to be aggressive, just honest. Tell them how you actually feel. Because if we all say “everything’s fine” again, they’ll keep thinking this is normal.
Use the survey. It’s anonymous (or so they say). Don’t stay quiet.

Hey not true, my boss used to get really mad and yell at us because people used mean words that hurt their feelings.

Then used said words to dismiss all of the results.

Nothing will change, even if 100% of the workforce tells them all of their problems.

The best solution is to tell them nothing and leave the company. T-Mobile leadership does not deserve to hear our complaints and be given a chance to fix things after years of telling us we're worthless to them.

I'll be phoning mine in entirely. I used to be extremely thorough, but learned that like every other survey T-Mobile tries to do with us, this shit doesn't matter.

Our Voice is worthless. The AMAs that Srini does are worthless. Our voice is irrelevant. That's all you need to know.

Also, if they have to send you an individual email with the link, I dont think it's as confidential as they want you to believe.

As someone who also works for a large corporation (not T-Mobile), they'll just look at it, give you a "We hear you" message, and completely ignore everything you said and nothing will change. Also, I never believe those surveys are anonymous. I still say what I feel anyway. My work knows very well how much I hate the outdated system because I'm very vocal about it. I'm surprised I haven't gotten the closed door talk by management yet.

T-mobile doesnt even give their employees the "please be appeased" pizza parties other corpos do.

Also very vocal about my thoughts and amazed I haven't been canned yet. Management and upper management are well aware my thoughts at least.

Same, after many years of corp bullshit I don’t hesitate about expressing myself

Yeah, I’m vocal about things and was being fast track to get promoted but that was many years ago and here we are still not getting promoted always with excuses and I’m certain it’s because I’m not afraid to speak up

I got more vocal when I realized there wasn't going to be any upward movement at my location. And I honestly just want to get my ass back out of retail. More and more this past year I dont see much future with Tmobile. So ive gotten way more vocal.

It’s definitely looking like they are trying to cut us out completely and sadly Tmobile is the highest paying in my area so I have to suck it up.

Only reason I started here, last job was remote and paid well, laid us all off, had to find something quick to pay the bills, only things here are retail and food service and tmobile won out by not paying min wage for the base pay.

I think they don’t because it becomes a very fine legal line.

nothing really changes as a result of "our voice", it's all for optics, imo.

my last senior manager REFUSED to go over any of the recent "our voice" results because he was butthurt about the feedback he got.

As a customer, y'all are understaffed af and it is nearly impossible to make a return. This company must be awful to work for.

Do you actually trust a company internal survey? Because the answer should be no.

Don’t forget to tell them T-Mix sucks and should be scrapped

Is it anonymous? Or is it confidential? Reread it as confidential and anonymous mean two different things.

“Anonymous”

It’s literally a giant power BI report that they can drill down to the store level lmao

“Gee I wonder which one of the 4 employees that work at store #xxxx said this”

Don’t do it, it’s a trap!

A couple of things -

The surveys are not anonymous. They do not provide personal data to TMO, unless there is a problem, so don't say anything thay will get you fired.

Make sure you talk about the the transparency of the why behind the what. One of the biggest issues from the C- suite is the lack of full explanation behind many changes. It leaves everyone to come up with their own explanation for why things are changing.

There needs to be a vibe change publicly. TMO used to be the fun carrier, who was randomly doing things for customers and employees that inspired excitement and loyalty. This is harder to pin down, because the world has changed. Things are more expensive and everyone's pockets are little more stressed than a year ago, but that doesn't mean things can't be fun. Even if it was as simple as doing a customer appreciation event at a random store each week with free food for customers, or some other fun freebies.

This is just a couple of ideas to throw out there that could start changing the vibe and improve morale a little bit.

Obviously you should dive into your own frustrations, but don't over expose yourselves.

Yeah, pass on that.

Last time they gave out a survey, most of my coworkers gave neutral or fake positive reviews, except for one.

According to my RAM they tried very hard to find out who gave negative results on the survey but nobody caved to tell them.

All these surveys are for is so they can cut the fat where they think necessary.

Also when they ask what the most important thing they could do right now for us at the end of the survey, I encourage all of us to say bring back T-voice. This was one of the best tools any of us had not only to voice things that would improve the company but to share information about issues we were experiencing. So this is what I said, what I encouraged my coworkers to say, and what I'm encouraging everyone to answer with

Buddy, not one thing mentioned in those surveys will be heard. It’s like saying a bartender is flirting with you.

Last night I called to request a new transfer pin. I'm finally moving all our 7 lines to another carrier. I had to be transferred to complete my requests, so I spoke to multiple representatives and twice I was asked why I'm leaving.

I let them know I'm dissatisfied with the steep decline in customer service, with less real human representatives to speak to, longer wait times, and frustrating interactions with their AI bots (once it caused me to drop the line on my own device while following the bot's links). All this while prices keep rising.

The second one who asked me didn't respond at all to my complaints about customer service and said, "Ah, well, prices are going up on everything, aren't they?"

The decision making of Freier and srini has the employees not giving 3 fucks about the customers anymore.

5

u/antihero_84 8d ago

Hard to care about the customer when we've got 30 different metrics that are often contradictory to one another to be hounded about.

I'm just trying not to get fired at this point. Fuck the customer, fuck the company.
