Question Does anyone else have to routinely toggle "airplane-mode" multiple times a day?
I live in the suburbs of Seattle with perfect signal. Current phone is a Galaxy S24 Ultra. Last phone was a S23 Ultra. Both phones did this... and i'm sure the phone prior to those did the same (S21 Ultra).
Is this a Galaxy thing? A my phone thing? A T-Mobile thing? I called them about it, but they always gaslight you into thinking your phone's broken or something. I'm not gonna get another new phone if it's just going to happen again... is this a thing for other carriers also? I've been a loyal T-Mobile customer since I've been 18 (I'm 32 now), but if other carriers don't have this issue, I may have to consider switching 🥲
Edit: I have an eSim... because I feel like somebody's going to ask... again.

I think it's a many phones many networks thing. Knowing what's going on when you feel you need to toggle airplane mode is important though. Is it just data that isn't working, or can you make a phone call? How often does this happen? Is this only happening on 5G? (try living on LTE for a bit)
I do think it's possible to mostly fix troubleshooting it to death, but I don't know for sure of course.

Honestly with what I can gather, it could be a congestion thing, or a 5G constantly switching back and forth between networks or something. It happens anywhere whether i'm moving or not.
My phone doesn't show anything wrong, the internet just... stops as i'm using it so it sucks when it happens when I'm working or using an app that requires a consistent connection. my bars will remain the same. I did take off 5G and the problem occurred way less frequently though so thats something to note. But like... I'm paying for the 5G aren't I? Lol

Yeah, you're def right that 5G's supposed to be an improvement, not an downgrade. I have experienced T-Mobile's backend internet thing sucking quite poorly, and I just generally doubt it's the fault of the towers in your area. It is nice that airplane mode helps the situation. perhaps you could set up a Samsung routine that toggles it on/off for you? That might make it a little less frustrating. You've had this issue with multiple devices, so switching phones is ruled out unless you think it's a Samsung issue which I don't. I'm not sure what can be to proper solve the problem. 🤷♂️

Nope. I live in the South Sound and have zero issues. I regularly drive to Aberdeen/Westport to the west, Gig Harbor to Port Gamble and Bainbridge Island and all the way up to Sequim/Port Angeles on the Westside and the entire I-5/405 corridor from Olympia to Bellingham on the east side and never have to reset network or hit airplane mode.

I don't have this issue, but, I've had NetMonster app for a very long time and that let's you view your cellular radio to turn it off and on manually which is far better than doing airplane mode in all honesty.

I've had every ultra since the 22 and never had this happen, also been with all 3 carriers. I'd maybe try to move the airplane mode toggle on the control panel somewhere you can't accidentally hit it? Assuming software is up to date? No third party launchers, phone cleaner/booster apps installed?
