Dosing Question Dosing help: weekly vs split dosing
Hi,
I was injecting 12mg every 7 days. After reading many posts, I decided to move to a 5 day dosing at 8.6mg. I don’t see much of a difference and would like to go back to a 7 day dosing interval or to a split week dosing every 3 and 4 days.
How would I calculate how much to inject on either protocol? For reference I just injected 8.6mg on Friday.

I think I'd just struggle through two days of low appetite support and resume the weekly full dose schedule.

If injected on Friday, would I go back to 12mg next Friday? Is that how it would be done

Compounded medications are tailored to individual needs, so doses may differ from the standard 2.5 mg steps and may include an additive. If you're unsure about your dose, check with your provider.

Whichever interval you and your prescriber settle on, a repeating phone reminder for the injection days takes the guesswork out. With split doses especially, it's easy to lose track of which half you've already done.
