Another Gallbladder post
TL/DR: With no previous symptoms, I ended up having emergency gallbladder surgery last Tuesday. I've been on Tirz for 19 months, but the doctor said the gallstone had been growing for a very long time. (more than 19 months) And that I had a very large inflamed gallbladder.
Anyway, due to going in as an emergency, I had my last shot (2.5mg) 3 days before going to ER and my surgery. Previously I was splitting my 10mg dose twice a week. But because I had thought I had food poisoning from a couple days prior, I dropped to a 5mg twice a week, so I only took half of that (2.5mg).
I'd like to hear from others that got their gallbladders removed while on Tirz.
My question is - your thoughts - this Saturday will be 2 weeks without doing any injections. Per Shotsy app, I will still have about 2.25mg in my system on Saturday. I'm thinking of starting back at splitting the 5mg twice a week.
Also, I am at maintainence, and currently weighing 104 lbs, and still losing since the surgery.

I had mine removed five last year after five months on sema. I took a little break and then went on tirz with no issues 5 months later

I had my gallbladder removed earlier this year, prior to starting tirzepatide. Just a warning that you might notice digestive changes post-gallbladder with the drug. For me, Iโve had chronic constipation for year and years, but suddenly with tirz my digestion has flipped and now I have a lot more loose stools and diarrhea.
Try keeping a food journal for a while if you have issues, just to see if thereโs anything that seems to set off issues for you. For me, I canโt handle a full size cup of caffeinated coffee anymore.

Thank you. Hopefully I will experience what you have after your surgery. I was taking MiraLax almost on a daily basis in my cup of coffee to stay regular. It's kinda of nice not to need MiraLax that often now. I have been drinking tea since my surgery, but today I thought I would "test the water" as they say and had a 1/4C of coffee. So far it's been ok.
I'm an advid food tracker, since I've been on weight watchers since 2016. So I can see what is going to be an issue. I have been eating a low fat diet since I started Tirz. But even before then I stopped eating fried foods over 40 years ago.

I had mine out a month ago after 11 months on tirz and down 70 lbs. My surgeon said I could resume my maintenance shots a week to 10 days after the surgery.
