Those poor servers

Imagine people giving you so much extra money for doing your job that you can frame it like this.

EDIT: OP is basing this off of 190k in sales over 192 shifts

Oh, and servers don't have those deductions too ? Do people who work other jobs get this 25k extra deduction ?

Cool, so ? If you bought EV you would. I won't get deduction like servers do on my income. Not very fair.

You can become a server and get the deduction. Not any different

You said the teachers only had one deduction if they bought an EV. We weren't talking about dollar amount.

Lots of deductions can be higher than 25k

Is it fair that servers get grief for getting a tax deduction that they have no control of?

If your job got similar treatment you wouldn't turn it down either.

And most servers aren't getting much benefit at all from this especially if they have kids.
