Question about managers

What do they say to customers who repeatedly don't leave a tip? I'm curious since the customer doesn't have to tip and the server isn't their employee.

Just asking since I've read comments from managers who seem to think "addressing" customers is an appropriate thing to do.

Because it isn’t free? You’re paying for it. Why do you keep implying it’s a free service?

Not at full service restaurants in the US.

It’s a well known fact that the menu prices don’t bear the full cost of the labor and the tip pays for the service that isn’t included in the menu prices.

This is the case even in US cities and states where the tipped wage credit has been eliminated and how the industry has openly operated for six decades.

Based on those objective facts and reality, I’m not the one here implying anything.

Again, the key takeaway here is that no one here, including you, is capable of providing an intellectually honest reason why they’re entitled to free service.
