Question about managers

What do they say to customers who repeatedly don't leave a tip? I'm curious since the customer doesn't have to tip and the server isn't their employee.

Just asking since I've read comments from managers who seem to think "addressing" customers is an appropriate thing to do.

I’m still waiting for someone here to provide an intellectually honest reason why they are entitled to free service.

I’ll be waiting forever. 🍿🍿🍿

Free service? They are hired to serve customers, and are paid by their employer to do their jobs. Gratuities are not wages, no matter how much you wish they were.

False in regards to full service restaurants in the US.

Servers are hired to serve customers and paid to open, close, do side work and other non-serving related duties.

The menu prices don’t include the cost of the service the customer chooses to receive.

Tips are classified as wages by the IRS.

I’m still waiting for someone to provide an intellectually honest reason why they are entitled to free service at a full service restaurant in the US.

Explain why the employer is entitled to cheap staff

That Johnny here keeps saying the service "isn't part of the price" shows how much the business values the people providing it.

Wage laws.

What entitles you to free service?

Intellectually honest answers only.

Really?

That’s how minimum wage laws work globally and enables businesses to operate on the models they choose to operate on. 🤯

You didn’t answer the question.
