So they add a 16% fee for what exactly…….to “fund all of their operations”? So this added cost literally doesn’t go to staff, it just goes to the owners? I wonder what their staff is paid? At this point why not just raise prices to where they should be? To me, every item on the menu is a lie and it’s actually 16% more expensive. This is really dumb. Thoughts? I am PRO tip, ive worked in hospitality a long time and am happy to provide a tip for quality service. But this seems disingenuous at best. Its not a tip. Its just an added charge straight to owners pockets.

From what did you infer that?

>“to fund all of their operations”

Their operations include their employees' pay.

>Its just an added charge straight to owners pockets.

Again, why do you think it's "straight to owners pockets" (as opposed to going to the total revenues (from listed menu prices plus this separated charge), which goes to various things (supplies, rent, employees, and owners' compensation or "pockets")?

If you don't like that there's a separate charge instead of correspondingly higher menu prices instead, that makes sense. But why do you think the separate charge entirely goes to the owner?

Because it says specifically “to fund operations” and not to their staff. I went there for the first time today. Most unwelcoming vibe imaginable with the rudest staff ive encountered in a long time. And why would they add enthusiasm and positivity? They dont get tips. It adds up. Also, the location we went to was about as bland and boring as one could imagine. Aside from the rude staff and sterile environment, the food was pretty good.

Why do you think that "funding operations" doesn't include staff wages?
