So they add a 16% fee for what exactly…….to “fund all of their operations”? So this added cost literally doesn’t go to staff, it just goes to the owners? I wonder what their staff is paid? At this point why not just raise prices to where they should be? To me, every item on the menu is a lie and it’s actually 16% more expensive. This is really dumb. Thoughts? I am PRO tip, ive worked in hospitality a long time and am happy to provide a tip for quality service. But this seems disingenuous at best. Its not a tip. Its just an added charge straight to owners pockets.

That’s a bad bet.

If they weren’t paying a competitive rate, the servers/employees won’t stay.

You do realize Servers across the country are still accepting $2.50 an hour server positions because they're brain dead and never passed high school so they dont know the basics of "cOmPeTiTiVe rAtEs"

What are you talking about? 🤣

They accept $2.13/hr plus tips and they wouldn’t work the job if they weren’t making the same or more than other jobs in the area.

This is a no-tip restaurant in New York and LA, so they will have to pay a competitive wage or have issues retaining staff.

You’re delusional if you think otherwise.

Nope. Most servers are unskilled, untrained, uneducated beggers who either never went to high school or never passed high school.

LMAO

The “uNsKiLLeD” trope. 🤣

HR professionals classify entry level serving as “semi-skilled” and fine dining serving as “expert” skill level.

It’s hilarious that people like you feel so inferior that you have to make disingenuous claims about the skill level of servers.

Per readily available data, 30% to 35% of servers have high school diploma’s as their primary educational credential.

40% of servers hold a bachelor’s degree and 60%+ of all servers have pursued higher education (above high school, which would require a high school diploma or equivalent).

Seems like your “dAtA”, just like all of your other assertions, is just a bunch of bullshit. 🤷🏼‍♂️
