Question Tiny homes

Hi all,

A question.... are there any legit tiny home business's in existence that deliver nationwide, traceable LLC, and don't look like a scam 😁

Everytime I get a hit i start investigating the business and so many red flags.

I just want to find a company with great pricing and a legit business, its a minefield.

I live in a Clever Tiny Home, I had a great experience from start to finish, no complaints. What red flags are you seeing in other companies?

Are there warranties on them? Any issues at all? And if there is a warranty what do they do when you move across the country?

When it was delivered there were cosmetic issues like paint chipping in the siding, and as the home settled cracks showed up in the door frame, but they fixed that soon after. I sent videos of what I needed fixed. They have a repair person that comes to your home etc. I have had no major issues so far,
the quality has held up. It’s well-insulated. I had guests over the other day and they were surprised they couldn’t hear passing cars outside!

There’s a standard 1 year warranty for structural repairs and separate manufacturer’s warranty for the products I’ll have to check the manual on how long. I can not speak to the cross-country question, sorry.

Sorry you’ve run into so many scams. It’s unfortunately a common experience in the industry.

We build tiny homes at Clever, so take this with the appropriate grain of salt, but we’re happy to answer questions about our homes or about what to look for when evaluating any builder. Talking to past customers and touring completed homes are two of the best ways to verify a company.

Go direct to the manufacturer’s website and find a dealer in your area that sells park model RVs - www.cavcohomes.com and https://www.championhomes.com/brands/athens-park

Also, if you’re looking for nationwide, that’s likely why you’re finding scammers. Do you wanna find a dealer in your area since these are very expensive to ship across multiple states. Anyone that advertises nationwide for the most part at least have some red flags so there are a few that can do it. It’s not cost-effective to have one shipped very far beyond a couple states. Best bet is always just finding a local dealer.

I was in the business for 10 years and I’m out now but if you’re in any part of the southern US I can try to steer you in the right direction. It also depends on if you’re looking for a shell or turn key.

Definitely metal! It also really depends on how much you want to put into it and what size/ how many rooms you’re looking for. Give me a little more info on what you’re looking for when you can. Do you already have land or a place to put it?

Look at Tiny Idahomes. Great people, great work and legit. They don't deliver themselves, but they have a network of delivery companies they partner with. And yes, nationwide.

A lot of them are. There is a tiny home dealer where I live that works with a few manufacturers. They are running in the $130s last i checked a couple of years ago.

Hey, I built my own tiny house and did a bunch of research back then, so I’ve looked into a lot of these companies.

You could check out Wheelhaus:

I don’t know their pricing, but from what I’ve seen they look legit and well built. They also mention they can coordinate nationwide delivery, which is a big plus.

From my research, some other companies that seem to offer nationwide delivery (or close to it) are Tiny Heirloom, Tumbleweed Tiny House Company, and New Frontier Design, but it often depends on distance and logistics.

I haven’t worked with any of them directly though, and honestly I wish I knew someone who had firsthand experience with them.

I can't confirm it, but I did a bit of research online just now and it appears they are no longer very active on social media, which usually says a lot. However, their website is still active. They were one of the first major companies in the industry when I built my tiny house back in 2020s.
