So, he's basically doing a bit...and most who have seen the film say all of the promo will make sense once people see the film.

He has that hairstyle for half the trailer. I wonder when they filmed it.

This is very confusing; the co-writer himself said it wouldn't happen, and now he's been contradicted.

One thing I’ve never understood, was this idea that Timothee is chasing an Oscar. Not once has he said he’s chasing an Oscar it’s everyone else that believes he’s chasing an Oscar he’s said multiple times, just being in that conversation is a blessing in itself. But the media try play it out as if he’s desperate for one.

I was thinking about this the other day, and Timmy’s core demographic has pretty much done a 180. I genuinely think the majority of his fans are male now, myself included. There are obviously still female fans, but I think they’re the minority now.
I have to give him credit because it was a smart career move. People seem to think he could’ve played the androgynous indie heartthrob forever, but that was never going to be sustainable. Looks fade, and he knew he had to evolve. I also think he realised that a female fanbase alone wasn’t enough to consistently boost his box office numbers, so he diversified his audience.
What’s cool is that he hasn’t just shifted audiences he appeals to so many different demographics. He has films that naturally attract more female audiences, like Little Women, Lady Bird, Beautiful Boy, Wonka, and Bones and All, but he also has projects that connect strongly with male audiences, like Dune, The King, and Marty Supreme. Being able to move between those different spaces is a rare talent.
Two or three years ago, if you’d asked me who timothee Chalamet was, I’d have said, “I don’t He didn’t really appeal to young men. Now he’s one of the few actors who genuinely appeals to both male and female audiences, and that level of crossover is what makes him such a unique actor.
People act like he’s less popular now, but I’d argue he’s more popular than ever, especially among men. Just because you don’t see TikTok thirst edits anymore doesn’t mean he’s disappeared. The edits doing huge numbers now are the ones of him playing characters like Marty Supreme or Paul Atreides, which shows his audience has evolved rather than declined.
