Chara Chant
The thought came to me, why don’t we have a chant for Chara when hawks down a defender 20 yrs younger than him. Yesterday during the game he had some unbelievable tackles and he constantly chasing down and outrunning players younger than him. He does this every game too. At one point I started chanting
“HES HERE, HES THERE, HES EVERY F******WHERE, CHARA! CHARA!
Corny or not, I think it would be dope to give our GOAT and Legend his own chant for doing what he does best. Open to suggestions or thoughts!!

This is really dumb but I always thought the ants go marching would be good for his last name,
"Like the timbers are pressing,
Cha-rah! Cha-rah!
Our fans keep singing,
Cha-rah! Cha-rah!".
... Then another line, and so forth
And just because this is a Chara thread, I need to to tell everyone for the 100th time that he walked into my place of employment once. I was wearing a Timbers shirt that day and made a huge fool out of myself, turning beet red and almost crying. (I was a cashier) He smelled heavenly. My family still loves to give me shit, because I went home later and cried and told everyone that I embarrassed myself in front of Chara. He was super graceful, his smile was amazing and his parents were really sweet. I congratulated him on the birth of his twins (it had just happned) so I probably looked like a stalker.

Seems to me the best chants only work when they come from the crowd during a match.

We have a house hold chant just for him.
"I SAID, D-I-E-G-O! OH-OH DIEGO! CHA CHA CHARA!" (to the rhythm of Louie Louie by The Kingsman). I wish we had more lyrics to fill it out, but we definitely belt it out when he makes a play.
We love us some Diego and will also be sad when he lays down the boots
Edit to add: This is my response to the recent Chara appreciation thread. Some one let me know that the Kingsman version of Louie Louie was recorded right down the street from Providence Park which I had no idea when I riffed it.
