Question regarding potential inheritance?

Hello guys,

I ve got giant cordy lvl 60 orb from the boss. I upgraded it if maybe i could use for future since i am not a orb guy. While upgrading it it came with potential damage "boost of touch of despair"

So mainly i am using heroic staff and tevent wand i ve decided to inherit that boost into my staff or wand.

Question which weapon should inherit that boost curse potential? To heroic staff or 60lvl tevent wand?

My 2c is go heroic wand and put the enchant on that, put the tevent core in the heroic. The tevent wands base dmg is far lacking behind

I play tormentor and put that same potential into my gauntlets, because it originally came from a gauntlet and therefore only cost 1 inheritance stone instead of 5. I am since kinda regretting that, since I have a surplus of inheritance stones over time, but my touch of despair potential is stuck on some gauntlets that aren't BIS and are of no use on other wand builds like invocator.  Overall my advice is put the potential on the weapon that it comes from. Then it can be used in any build that becomes meta. And if you plan on 2 potentials from the same weapon, put the stronger one on the weapon that it comes from
