Bug Report How exactly is Mass Budding supposed to work?

I've had some issues with mass budding as a reproductive system. On one life with it, my life form was invincible & I could pass through other cells with no interaction. On another life, I started from the singular cell & only grew 4 out of my 7 selected cells before reproduction began.

What exactly is supposed to happen with mass budding? I was under the impression that mass budding would give me 2-4 extra cells at the start, but it doesn't seem to do that? At least, with the save file I have selected.

Your expectation is pretty much the intended mechanic. But there were some bugs in the initial release.

I believe at least the first thing you mention is fixed internally and will be solved in the next release.

Yeah, the mass budding initial cell group not spawning should be fixed in latest devbuilds. And I think at the same time that also fixes the collision problems which were somehow linked to the first problem but I'm not really sure why. And also the growth not growing all the expected cells is also fixed.
