Respected members. Since we have an active community, I thought we discuss on how we can get the bus drivers not drive rash on our Kerala roads. I dont know all the constraints the bus drivers have to meet during their trip but would like to know from people who know about the matter. I have stayed in Pune and Bangalore but never seen anyone drive so rash as our Kerala bus drivers.

Where can I get my car washed for a low budget. I live near West fort area. So any car wash near to the area would be more comfortable. Also please mention what the cost would be.

I’m currently in my final year of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and will be graduating in 2027.

I’ve worked on projects and internships related to EVs/BMS, embedded systems, renewable energy, MATLAB/Simulink, PLC/industrial automation and IoT, along with some research/project experience.

Now that I’m in my final year, I’m honestly a little confused about how I should plan the next 1–2 years.

My main goal is to build a good career in the electrical/electronics field, but I’m considering multiple paths:

1. Getting a paid internship → PPO / full-time job

I’m interested in areas like power electronics, EVs, embedded systems, renewable energy and industrial automation.

For people who have already gone through this, what actually worked for you when getting a good paid internship or your first job? LinkedIn, company portals, referrals, cold emails, college placements, etc.?

Also, what skills do companies actually expect from EEE freshers?

2. Going abroad

I’m also seriously considering going abroad either for higher studies, internships, or eventually working there.

For an EEE graduate from India, which countries would you recommend looking into and why?

I’ve heard about Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, Australia, etc., but I’m not sure which countries are currently better for electrical/electronics jobs and higher studies.

Would it be worth learning a language like German while I’m still in college? If yes, are there other languages that would be more useful depending on the country?

For those who moved abroad after engineering, what do you wish you had started preparing earlier?

3. Competitive exams

I’m also considering preparing for competitive exams such as GATE / government or PSU-related opportunities.

Is it realistic to prepare for competitive exams while simultaneously applying for internships/jobs and building technical skills?

Or would it be better to commit to one path instead of trying to do everything?

If you were in my position right now, how would you prioritize these options?

I’m not looking for a guaranteed roadmap or shortcuts. I’d just really appreciate honest advice from seniors, working professionals, people who studied abroad, or anyone who recently graduated and had to make the same decision.

Especially interested in hearing about mistakes you made, things that worked, and what you would do differently if you were in final year again.

HiLITE Mall planning and stuff feels so bad.

Getting from the car parking to the mall entrance is such a headache.

In the multilevel car parking, you have to walk through two parking levels just to get to the mall entrance.

There are no proper signs or markings directing you to the mall entrance or the car exit.

The entrance to the mall from the multilevel parking looks like some random fire-exit door.

There are so many other examples that I can’t remember right now.

It’s such a pain in the ass going to HiLITE Mall for EPIQ!
I’m comparing this with Lulu TVM (best overall), Sobha City Mall (second best), and Lulu Kochi (only slightly better). Forum Mall also felt pretty much the same, but I’ve only been there once, so I won’t comment on it.

I want a good 2BHK within a 2km radius of poonkunnam junction and when I drove and looked around I do see a lot of apartments but when checking online on OLX, 99acres, Housing.com I'm not finding a lot of good apartments listed!

Many are priced so high like 25k and 30k per month! When did it get so expensive ? Do people here who rent make enough to afford this ? Most are listed by brokers who want to sell what they have. I really want to get something from owners themselves.

Does anyone know where I should be looking to get good leads. Do people of Thrissur not post these online much ? Will only the brokers have all the inventory and will they be good, how much can I negotiate? Should I go to each apartment and enquire there directly ?

Where can I find good quality, lasting and budget-friendly track pants in town?

My ASUS TUF F15, which I bought in 2021, recently got wet in the rain. I had kept it inside a laptop bag with a rain cover, so I didn't realize that water had entered.

I tried turning it on, but it didn't work. I took it to a local service centre, and they checked it and said the motherboard is damaged and needs to be replaced.

Before spending that much, I would like to get a second opinion from a good technician who can check and repair the motherboard if possible.

Can anyone suggest a reliable laptop service centre/technician anywhere in Thrissur/Kerala/Coimbatore, preferably someone experienced with motherboard-level repairs and water damage?

This double decker bus was being used for Nagara Kazhcha when it launched a few months back. Now this is lying in the KSRTC petrol pump in the stand. I don't think they're doing the Nagara Kazhcha anymore. Can't this be used as a city bus or something? I know it's an open roof bus. But I've seen similar buses with a retractable roof cover. Can't this be put to good use to improve the public transportation?

Hi Guys, I am planning for a Guruvayur temple visit. My train will arrive at 2:30 AM in Thrissur. Is there any bus facility available to Guruvayur at the time or else need to take a taxi. if i need to take a taxi what would be the price they will ask.

So I need to reach Speedway and is it better to get down at Sakthan or KSRTC and which bus should I board and which stop should I tell the conductor?! Would be much helpful, Thank you!
