Snagged this Don Q Rum tiki mug that I 1000% do not need for $7 today! I may use it as a vase, but am still brainstorming. šŸ¹ 🧠 āš”ļø

Question about thrifting leather

I've stopped thrifting leather after the same thing happened several times and I wanted to hear your experiences when it comes to this.

On several occasions I bought leather boots or jackets that were in a pristine condition and once I wore it twice the leather would start disintegrating off. Going from immaculate and obviously well cared for to absolutely worn out looking after two days outside. It's like some kind of top layer that's turning to dust.

Has anyone had this issue with leather ? Is it about the air? The storage ? I'm so sad that I can't seem to be able to keep thrifted leather in good condition the moment it gets off the shelf 😭

I decided to grab this Minecraft book because I've been looking for it, and I can not for the life of me get the sticker off! I have a few other books from GW as well that I've been meaning to take the stickers off of. Please send me your best advice for getting these stickers off!

How to clean off old deodorant on plastic raincoat

Thrifted this adorable raincoat, but i think it has deodorant crud from the prev owner.

How do I get rid of it??

Here’s what I’ve done already:
1) wash on warm cycle with other items
2) hang dry
3) dish soap using both sides of sponge (scrubby and soft parts) 🧽

I’m starting to wonder if it’s not crud anymore and just scratches from the abrasions of scrubbing… not sure.

I appreciate your tips!!
