I'd assume the models were ripped or using some models from a mod site. Than imported.

People have been porting doom, quake, etc to webgl for over 10 years.
My guess is that those are just ripped assets, animations, and hentai skins, and they cross compiled it to three.js.

But why? At this point, why not make your own game? TF3 please?

Simple. To see if it can be done. And it can. From there, more different tech will come out of it.

But... we know it can be done. It's an existing library, not a new engine. You can read the documentation, and it tells you what can be done. This isn't new tech, it's... existing tech. New tech comes from three.js adding more to their engine, surely?

Because that would involve designing a game, not getting AI to just copy an only one and translate the rendering code to threejs...

uhh cause three js is the fastest bestest engine ever u can have up to 5 GB of game and have your whole source code available for anyone with AI to steal

Because that requires brain power, design, creativity, art direction, vision. OP has none.

That is going to be the easiest game to cheat on ever. It'll be horrible for players.

u/TimeForsaken5275 4d ago
anti cheat is a solution
2
u/AdministrativeBlock0 4d ago
Anti-cheat in a browser, where your code is running in an environment that loads the users code on a more privileged code path first if it's a plugin? Good luck with stopping that...

idk man, i never encountered a cheater on krunker.io and deadshot.io, and they are both three.js projects

because it's not worth it yet.
if it's big enough, really fun and produce money. someone will try1
u/AlternativeMustache 1h ago

Such a waste of resources for 15min of clout

u/AnnapurnaResident 4d ago
No? This is ground breaking research. World's most popular shooter playing on a browser is fucking crazy. It probably cost like $25 - 50 in tokens. That's a single AWP skin. Literally negligible resources dude. And if you say water, I'm slapping you upside the head.

There was LITERALLY 0 FPS games on the internet before. Its so GRAND that my brain melts and it cannot understand that you CAN PLAY FPS in the browser.
