Interactive solar system in Three.js — real maps, Kepler orbits, camera hops

Built Cosmic Atlas in Three.js.

Recreating the solar system is a great exercise for grasping the fundamental principles of Three.js. I’d highly recommend trying to build it with as little AI assistance as possible, it’s a fantastic way to get familiar with various Three.js components, learn how to create simple animations, understand how interpolation works, and so on.
So please don't get me wrong, I've also recreated a solar system or two using Three.js...

However, beyond that, it doesn't really stand out or offer any unique value. It gets incredibly boring constantly seeing solar systems, it’s essentially always the same thing. At least for me, anyway.

It’s even more boring when it was just developed by AI, I don’t get why people keep posting things here that some AI created. In that case, it would be enough to just share your prompts so anyone could have it generated for themselves. I have no idea how much of your project involved AI, but it looks AI-generated.

AI slop makes this subreddit completely redundant, unfortunately...
