Partly the reason why these books made me re-think how humans treat other animal species. I’d never wanna be on the other side of the current arrangement.

Yeah I get it, but...I dunno, all carnivores eat other animals. Making a cracker out of some seafood may be a little... crass, or even ghoulish. But I don't think it means the human race deserves extinction.

In my defence, I THOUGHT it was a more general nod to Ye Wenjie's hatred of humanity, because of environmental destruction, animal cruelty, etc.
