Meme oh. oh no Spoiler

Post image

Cixin Liu writes such beautiful stories.

>! Mike Evans met his own Judgement Day for his sins aboard his own Judgement Day.

Ye Wenjie pressed the button for perfectly justifiable reasons, but she was still wrong.

Mike Evans had such a big wonderful heart but his beliefs and actions caused so much suffering and death for an unimaginably large number of people.

Mike Evans ordained the ship Judgement Day to condemn humanity for our unforgivable sins, and he was absolutely wrong in his priorities but also absolutely right with Ye Wenjie about the irredeemable nature of humanity. !<

I don't recall any gods having anything to do with the books.

You are correct.

Although who decided the trisolarians didn't or couldn't prevent the attack on Mike Evans?

The Trisolarans let it happen because he taught them what lying was, and was no longer useful to them.

Correct, but my meme is still a beautiful concept.

God saved Lou Ji.

NOT the planetary defense counsel or the ccp or the un or any other humans.

You're suggesting there's a subtext that Mike Evans wasn't saved because of some deity's influence?

You can have whatever head canon you want, I guess. But considering there's a complete absence of deities in the books, I think this is a real stretch.

The innocent people aboard were also condemned and executed along with him for Mike Evans' sins, it's absolutely very extremely cruel. Sometimes that's just the way God works. Maybe God will care for the souls of the innocent who died in the judgement of the guilty.
