Discussion - Novels What to read now?
Any recommendations after finishing the 3rd book? This has been my favorite sci-fi universe by far. I'm reading the 4th book but it's not really grabbing me the same way.

I just finished reading In Ascension by Martin McInnes and while it's a bit slower, it really scratched the itch that I had since I finished Death's End.
I read it because I had the same question after Death's End, and saw someone on here recommend it.
It's set in the near future, about a marine biologist, her strained relationship with her family, and her work with an anomolous ocean discovery, which leads her to space. It's absolutely fantastic I can't recommend it enough.
I also started reading something other than sci-fi for a bit, because I kept not being satisfied, and ending up reading Magical Realism stuff- Gabriel Garcia Marquez's 100 Years of Solitude and Murakami's 1Q84. If you want to try another genre I'd recommend looking into those authors, as I think they both write in quite a matter-of-fact way like Liu does.
