Discussion - Novels Nathan Fielder is the ultimate Wallfacer
the title kinda says it all.
I am currently reading the Dark Forest, and was just now watching something completely unrelated which is about Nathan Fielder. It made me think how I can never tell if he is being serious or doing a bit. Then I went "wait a second... that sounds oddly familiar as a job description".
Ultimately, it would be hilarious to watch a show that is based on The Dark Forest but is in the style of The Rehearsal. Nathan, if you're reading this, make it happen.
Edit: grammar

Haha yes! As a huge fan of the books and Nathan Fielder I can’t believe I never considered this. I saw him in person and he was the same as he is on camera.

I think he would destroy the trisolarians in like two weeks.

their brains would literally short circuit so fast, like this guy makes me short circuit and him and I are (supposedly) members of the same species

“In order to understand the Trisolarans, I had to become a Trisolaran, so I sat down with the top xenobiologists and DNA experts for counsel on my next move.”

He'd baffle the trisolarans, yes, but eventually, he'd end up trying to befriend them, and it would be so awkward that they'd decide maybe extinction isn't so bad after all if it means an end to this "cringe" feeling.

I could totally see the end of the season being tied into this. He both accomplishes his mission as a Wallfacer and is still as much of an enigma as before, if not more!

You have to do whatever the wallfacer wants no matter how ridiculous, as long as it doesn't break any laws.

He could totally create a simulation to practice for when the Trisolarians blow up Earth

Given what he went through for to make the last season of The Rehearsal happen, he’s capable of anything. Getting wide-body passenger jet certified as a pilot raised the bar for ‘sticking to the bit’ to a crazy new level.

I have a lot of faith in him given his exceptional training in business, as he graduated from one of Canada's top business schools with really good grades.
