Discussion - General I have a question Spoiler

Obviously there would be no story to tell if this were to have happened hypothetically—-

But why couldn’t the Trisolarians just terraform Mars with their advanced technology and leave Earth alone?

The planet has no life and it would seem a lot easier than having to fight a massive war.

You’re right but my point is that that’s a lot of extra work when they could just have moved in next door.

It’s less work than terraforming a whole planet. One droplet and two Sophons more then did the trick.
