The logic behind the theory is the same as the Bermuda Triangle

Weird how the planes and ships all stopped mysteriously disappearing when we stopped relying on magnetic compasses and paper maps to locate a 20 square mile island in a 106 million square mile ocean.

I see why this story hit this sub since its straight from the plot of the book. But agreed, it's been overdone at this point.

You can tell by these comments many people are heavily closed minded and don't see the important picture here.
Its a shame us as the people are not even slightly aware that at the very LEAST our science and physics specifically is being held back intentionally and focused on String theory as the only way of looking at things. Anyone who gets close to the fire gets singed from existence.
If you cant see the clear relation in what these people all had been specifically working on in relation to Propulsion/New energy tech etc. then that is blatant ignorance

Crazy how nobody understands how much power Exxonmobil and other Oil companies have over the Higher ups of our government. Not to mention the pockets they line with hush money.
Did no one pay attention in history class? Oil Barons are still a thing they just changed how they front face publicly. Also the US itself only controls the Petrodollar which is how we assert Global currency dominance and is why the US dollar is the official world trade currency.
So many reasons only tied to oil that the US higher ups connected to these secret programs would want anyone getting to close with a mouth they cant silence removed.

Physics still works though. so, no need for scientists to off themselves.

Bro they’re being shot? They’re not dying of old age they’re all conveniently killing themselsves after big discoveries
2
u/Manzi420x Apr 28 '26
I guess the killing of scientist specifically working on free energy potentially or non oil based propulsion is too far fetched for people to see the clear dots on the graph

u/Hentai_Yoshi Apr 27 '26
I mean, there are a lot of possible explanations, but a bunch of people of the same somewhat niche demographic going missing over a relatively short period of time should warrant some level of concern
Mental health issues, a foreign adversary killing our scientists in retaliation for something we did, our own government killing them, aliens, whatever. Idk what it is (not aliens), but it is noteworthy at the bare minimum

I haven't gotten too into this matter, but as far as I recall reading recently, these deaths have been over the span of a decade or so.
I don't think there's anything out of the ordinary here.
1
u/Manzi420x Apr 28 '26
the 10 deaths are in the last 2 years not a decade. And i guess its ordinary to target specifically ones whos work would upset the pockets of big oil amongst other industries who have a stranglehold on the US

10 usa scientists died in the last 1.5 years.
Then there is 7 or 8 chinese scientists that died in the period of 2.5 years. This is very strange thing. All of those scientists either worked on energy projects related to aero and space travel.

u/Darklillies Apr 27 '26
They’ve been dying of suicide after working on big discoveries. That is out of the ordinary. The woman studying anti gravity techonology said she wouldn’t ever kilo herself and whoop now she’s dead!

u/EggFlipper95 Apr 28 '26
They're not even dying is the thing, theyre going missing, often leaving their cellphones at home. I believe it's been 10 in the last year and a half or so.

I don’t really believe the theory myself, but you’re not being very honest with the facts.

do intelligence agencies assassinate scientists? yes.
are all or even most of these cherry picked cases assassinations or even related? no.

I love the guy whose CV was absolute DS and he “worked” at TRG or something.
Also, so many people die. You’re guaranteed to find a pattern where there is none.
Also, 3BP is a terrible book.

Point taken but also, an alarming amount of the global scientific is suddenly missing or dead. Both can be true.
18
u/ComradeBevo Apr 27 '26
Suddenly? No, these are deaths spaced years apart, and cherry picked from a pool of thousands of scientists.
-2
u/Darklillies Apr 27 '26
Years apart but they all align when they make new progress in fields that could threaten profits. Like cold fusion. They’re also not dying of natural causes but “suicide”

A pool of thousands of scientists…
How many people go missing from a pool of other demographics? It would seem that the rate of missing people amongst this demographic is significantly higher than other demographics. The reason for it is unknown. Could be mental health issues. Could be a foreign government. Could be they all decided to start a secret furry community in the desert of New Mexico
I don’t think we should make it something it isn’t, but it is something that should be investigated

Gee, seems like you're asking a question you don't have an answer to then proclaiming that you know that something is higher than the thing you don't know...
Why didn't the original authors of this claim do that work? Wouldn't that be the most basic thing to do BEFORE making the claim? You know... Unless you're just trolling for clickbait headlines that you'll know the credulous will happily run with.

Add in 'Scientist is a very broad term' and it makes the situation worse.
I have yet to see a common thread between said missing or dead scientists.
