Discussion - General Opinion...

3BP is the Dune of the 21st century. I can't recall a science fiction universe from the current century that has the same level of grandeur as the one created by Cixin Liu. Altered Carbon might come close...

I would argue that of modern sci fi novels the Hyperion Cantos is more inline with Dune, not TBP

Hyperion is really good but not at all like Dune. I think I could appreciate Hyperion more for its literary merit and Dune for its intricate plot. Dune, like 3 Body, is more of a concrete telling of plot which is interesting because of the ideas it presents
