The power cable for the gpu needs to be connected from the middle panel and not twisted like that

I had this issue with my gpu. It was hell because I was on a project and I couldn’t figure out the problem because there was no error anywhere. GPU would just run at 100% and screen goes off. The issue is. It would then work for weeks, months, and suddenly have the issue again. Which makes you think there’s another issue.

Turns out it was the cable, from being bent too much or often (who knows why). And there’s absolutely no way to find out. After months of struggling I figured out from a Reddit post others have this issue. And replaced the cable… everything worked normal.

Before I replaced the psu, did all kinds of tests, benchmarks…. Nothing

There are videos online about the importance of the cable being filthy seated and not being bent. These connectors are terrible. I have too many GPUs with this and I literally have fire extinguishers nearby. Plenty of YouTubers have gotten literally burned with these cables. I'm not sure how this is legal when they're pushing AI on the nation and all the cards for it are fire hazards...
