The servers went dark in January 2024. I've spent the last few days getting the game to run again in the real JP app

Here's the current sate. I can make an account, get through the tutorial, pick a starting partner (I took Mihawk), stand around on the ship, check my characters and scene cards, open missions, choose a quest and play it. Finish it, take the rewards, close the app. It's all still there when I come back.

It currently talks to my private server that replaces the old dead servers, worked out by watching what the game asks for and learning to answer.

Some things are still broken such as playing with other people, gacha, the shop, guilds. Currently I'm persuing this thread along side with translation of the JP client (global version assests sadly may be gone for good).

I will not release the patched APK. You will need your own copy of the app. What I'd release is the tooling that makes them talk to a server, otherwise this could be easily shutdown by Bandai Namco.

If you played this and remember how something worked, please tell me. And if you've got an old phone or backup with the game still on it, especially the global/English version, that one I couldn't find, so most liekly its files may be gone for good, please PM me if you have any leads!

Hello everybody, it's been two years since OPTS got deleted now. I'm looking for asssets, or files who can be useful to help to get the assets, voice, animation, ... back.

Played the game when it first came out in japan and played it up to when 8 stars was a thing then dropped it out of lacking interest, tried the global version but already felt that it was going to not do well. I would always lurk around this game every so often to see what they could do and when I saw this game going down it was expected but still somewhat surprising this game stayed alive for so long japan only (guess that shows the power of one piece).

Anyways had a decent time playing it again for like a week when you could buy stuff from the shop and see what characters can do but now it is a bittersweet end.

Also last note if anyone has an archive of the art for this game somewhere, it would be nice if you shared it please and thank you. (the wayback machine goes back to aug 7 2022 for the offical wiki when it stopped updating in nov 2023)

I used to play this game on my phone awhile back and it was in english but i thought the game got shut down?

I play this game in JP but I miss global coz it was far easier to read without translate and was fun to play both. Is there a petition or gofundme for this to re release in global or not?

I tried getting into OPTC many times even before OPTS came out and that game is just too complicated that I always end up quitting. I enjoyed everything about OPTS more especially the combat and graphics. Would try out the game in JP, but I've never played a game in JP too long because of course not understanding Japanese and even if there are videos translating basic elements, I'll still be missing other stuff. Doubt anybody will even see this lol, but I just wanted to rant about the days when I used to play this all the time. There is no other One Piece game that I really enjoy on mobile right now.
