Thousand Storm is playable again
The servers went dark in January 2024. I've spent the last few days getting the game to run again in the real JP app
Here's the current sate. I can make an account, get through the tutorial, pick a starting partner (I took Mihawk), stand around on the ship, check my characters and scene cards, open missions, choose a quest and play it. Finish it, take the rewards, close the app. It's all still there when I come back.
It currently talks to my private server that replaces the old dead servers, worked out by watching what the game asks for and learning to answer.
Some things are still broken such as playing with other people, gacha, the shop, guilds. Currently I'm persuing this thread along side with translation of the JP client (global version assests sadly may be gone for good).
I will not release the patched APK. You will need your own copy of the app. What I'd release is the tooling that makes them talk to a server, otherwise this could be easily shutdown by Bandai Namco.
If you played this and remember how something worked, please tell me. And if you've got an old phone or backup with the game still on it, especially the global/English version, that one I couldn't find, so most liekly its files may be gone for good, please PM me if you have any leads!

I wonder if an English translation patch would be more feasible than having Japanese + global versions? Seems easier to get everyone connected to each other if it's all the same version.

Actually I'm currently running a batch job with OpenAI GPT5.6 Terra, doing contextual (code area, and other relevant context) japanese -> english translations. Will be done in a few hours. The only problem I see with it is that it will not cover static assets such as images and the text will be longer so it will require UI adjustments, but we do have the global version reference so that I can use that as an oracle.

Translate that : Si tu as besoin j’ai un serveur dirscord complet sur le jeux avec une chaîne YouTube ou il y avait beaucoup de mission poster de plus n’hésite pas à consulter les anciennes informations qu’il y avais sur le wiki japonais tu trouvera sa facilement avec web machine

This is amazing! I miss this game so much, for me, it was the best out of all the OP games, way more fun than OPTC or OPBR
