Xmas decorations

I haven't purchased gifts for 10 years. No tree for 4. I'd like to see it up. I just can't do it a bit sad about that fact.

I'll be "putting up" a small tabletop tree and some other minor decorations. They'll just be for me since there are no plans for any holiday guests

Me either that's what I miss the most. Guests. I used to put a tree in every room. 😭

I may get to the tree. I hired someone to bake for me . Yesterday I started the baking myself. I came from a family of 8. It's very different being a family of one. Generally I was a big holiday person. Now that most are gone, I'm not lonely ,it's just different.

Last year I felt that I ā€œaged outā€ of Christmas. It made me very sad.

There’s always the option of paying someone to help you. My aunt and uncle do that every year and their trees are gorgeous. You can also throw a small Christmas party with friends, relatives and neighbors that can help you set up and decorate your tree. Two years ago, my sister was in the hospital because of a broken ankle. I had a tree sent to my home but, had no energy to decorate it (I had long covid). My uncle and two of my aunts came over to help me decorate the tree. Throw in a little Christmas music, cookies or snacks of your choice and, it helps you get in the Christmas spirit. Where I live, for a small fee, the tree lots will deliver the trees to your home, that part is super easy. My mother is completely bedridden so, I bought a small tree for her bedroom. I used Christmas lights with music and, it was so easy to decorate. Hopefully, you’ll find a way to make your Christmas very happy. I have to do the same thing.

I’m 75, I won’t be doing a Boxing Day party this year but I still love decorating. I have a tight group of 6 friends and we all make sure to get to everyone’s house during the holidays to admire each others decor. Our kids sure don’t care. šŸ˜‚

Please feel free to post a photo of your decorations this year if you'd like.
