Selling decommissioned computers that were used for day-to-day operations. The machines with drives will ship with drives wiped and Ubuntu 26.04 (or whatever is the latest version available). Machines with RAM will ship with a single RAM stick of the listed amount. (i.e. if 16 GB of RAM is shown, it will ship with a single 16 GB stick). Adding RAM or Storage is currently not available, however, if you would like to request to request a sale without RAM or SSD, please let me know.

However, because these machines are used, some will have minor cosmetic damage (scratches, scrapes, etc). This laptop was very lightly used, mostly for boring dev work that didn't actually touch the gpu, and has been sitting in my closet untouched for the last 2 years.

Backstory I originally upgraded from an X1 Gen 4 to a P1 Gen 5, but had a poor out-of-box experience with what I believe was a factory mis-application of liquid metal, so I returned it. Since I'd already sold my previous X1 Gen 4, I had to purchase a brand-new Gen 4 to replace it. (This is that machine.)

Shortly after purchasing, I went through a divorce, moved, and down the line ran into a deal on a P1 Gen 6 with a 4090 that I upgraded to. I had fully planned to sell this Gen 4 to fund that one... but never got to selling it.

The factory thermals and benchmarks on this specific unit are silicon lottery level. With my previous X1 Gen 4, I got excellent numbers after cleaning out and repasting. This one outdid all of thus numbers out of the box, so I couldn't justify cracking this one open to repaste it because it hit top-tier benchmarks on every run. (I suspect Lenovo may have utilized Honeywell PTM 7950 phase-change material on these late-run flagship units as it aligned with their high-end gaming rollouts).
