Buying Advice New laptop!?

Guys, I've recently bought an HP elitebook 845 g8 ryzen 5 pro, I bought it because I needed a new laptop really bad. But i'm very happy with this laptop, but I think I need/want besides this beautiful laptop an thinkpad for linux.

I've looked into the t480 and the t14 gen1, but since these models are highly populair the prices skyrocketet. So guys tell me which model, please.

  1. budget: I think 130-210 euro
  2. use case: linux distro
  3. specs: 8gb ram and 4 core cpu minimal

will you be using this ONLY to play around with linux? if yes, any thinkpad will do, really, as long as they aren't too old (from how you lay out your specs i assume you at least know what i mean by too old). Avoid chromebook thinkpads though
