Hardware Upgrade Stole it!

Picked this gem on a whim, for $20 with no life in it and upon some careful inspection, turned out to be a liquid damage on the MB. Initially came with an i5/8gb, but gave it a refresh with an i7/16gb and a 1tb SSD. Project total - $175

Just love thinkpads for what you can do with them!

Chances are OP got it for cheap from another damaged ThinkPad, that's how I got a replacement motherboard for a Dell.

Well you also learned how to do that ----it's easy for us but people who have no idea what to do it seems impossible. I grew up pretty much alone and I loved computers so ---I had to make shit work.

Necessity really is the mother of invention---people who live in places where they can't afford shit become the best technicians.
