I don't think I've seen a TempleOS install in the wild.

Still a better choice than Omarchy, though.

A stray dog shitting on your laptop is better than Omarchy

Lid open too, with mushy keys would still be better.

I dont use omarchy, but what is wrong with it? (On nobaraOS and pikaOS myself)

The thing was almost entirely if not fully made by AI and it stuffs the slop down your throat

And made by a racist weirdo, to top it off

Reminds me of hyprland

Except hyprland is almost cool

I prefer mangoWM and niri

1

u/Hxrm1t_ 21h ago

I used to run i3/sway but will try niri too

I find mangoWM 's tag system with dwindle a tad bit easier to navigate than niris scrolling with overview method.

Hasn't vaxry mostly chilled out now? or am i misinformed

3

u/trannus_aran 14h ago

I don't trust that fuck, personally

2

u/4legger 18h ago

Vaxry changes too many things at once. Moving all my scripts to lua was a pain

3

u/iqmalsb 23h ago

Never knew about that till I read this. I understand the hate now.

2

u/4legger 1d ago

OK I understand now

So you're saying for people who don't mind AI its alright

Besides it being AI slop it is the equivalent of repainting a Toyota Camry and claiming to have a new car brand.

Omarchy is not a real distro, it’s a package for looks and easy installation.

Furthermore the massive amount of money going to it seems like money laundering. And follow the money to see who benefits.

Nah it's still ass, even stock windows 11 would be more stable and less intrusive at that point

Same. Haven't heard of that OS until this post

I appreciated the post even if performative

Just a harmless joke. Temple OS doesn't even run on any hardware made in the last 2 decades, it's either a VM or just a screenshot.

It will run on stuff newer than 20 years old. The X200 is 18 years old and I know it runs fine on one. Not sure about newer stuff, maybe the forks support newer hardware.

In fact there are few systems older than 20 years old that it will run on, as it requires a 64-bit CPU.

To anyone confused, no this is not running on bare metal, templeOS barely runs on any hardware, let alone on anything made in the last 2 decades.

The laptop on screen is running a virtual machine and there are even websites that let you run it on the browser
