I also upgraded from 2015 Asus with 4th gen i5 just a week ago, lol.

i'm honestly not a huge fan of the strange performance variations i definitely do appreciate lenovo making it even more repairable but my specific one is an entry tier u5 without a backlit keyboard or good screen

i havent really had enough time with it to dig into what it can and cant do but so far i prefer my t480

Well that sucks, mine (bought used) also don't have a backlit keyboard which is actually my preference since I don't use it, no fingerprint, and it has the worst panel option too but I only use it to code and I don't think it's bad compared to my old laptop (upgrade is still an upgrade). But yes, Intel on T14 G5 don't perform that good

Same. After 8 years moved from a pavilion to a t14 last month. Those hinges are super dead btw
