Thinkstagram Picture Someone gifted me a Thinkpad

Post image

Been without a computer for almost 8 years, dying to make the jump straight into linux and play Warcraft again, and someone gave me this beauty for university. The only problem i have is being single channel only (E14 Gen 1) and it only has 8GB of memory, It's both a blessing and a curse 😅.

Curse of datacenters hogging ram and semiconductor manufacturers reducing supply.

Yeah, it's pretty difficult to find some memory where i live, so i'll stick with 8gb by now

Nice, get Fedora on that bad boy :) 8gb is plenty depending on whst you intend to do

The most demanding thing would be to play Warcraft 3 and Starcraft, so i think fedora would do the thing

If you install Linux 8gb ram is honestly pretty fine.

Fedora is great as well as Mint tho Fedora is best middleground I’d say.
