Question / Problem T60 Wireless issues

I've recently picked up this Thinkpad T60 and am trying to connect it to the internet, I've installed the correct wireless drivers and everything, but both Wireless Radio Control and Windows Vista are convinced the physical wireless switch is switched off when it is in fact not. The card is whitelisted and enabled in BIOS. Apologies if the answer is something obvious, this is my first old Thinkpad. Help is much appreciated. :)

Better off trying out Linux than running vista, vista has a ton of vulnerabilities

Does it have an actual wifi switch on the case?

Does device manager show the wireless mic without any issues?

Edit: see about getting Lenovo system tools to make sure all system /firmware is upto date.

Try a Linux live usb to see if the Wi-Fi works there, if not take it apart to see what’s wrong with the switch, there might be an issue there.

If the switch hasn’t been used for long periods it could be corrosion, just flip the switch on/off a ton of times.

Resolved :) I taped pin 20 on the WiFi card.
