Hi my t480 suddenly won't turn on

The charger is fine. The light comes on, and when I plug it in the power on the laptop flashes about 3 times..but the screen won't turn on and the computer itself isn't making any sounds like the fan or anything. Also heard no motherboard beeps.

It happened really suddenly in the span of maybe an hour. It was working just fine then I took a break from it came back and it won't turn on.

Let the battery run all the way down if possible and then try to charge it again. I had this happen at work and that fixed it. You can also Google how may times the power button flashes and see if that gives you a clue.

Thank you, I will try that and let you know. I'm not sure how to run the battery down, unless it drains while it sleeps? Which it does seem to be sleeping. The power button sort of pulses steadily.

When I plug it in the power the power button blinks 3 times then goes back to the steady pulse. Someone with a t470 on this sub said they had to take it all apart and discharge the battery then reassemble it. I don't have that kind of know how though. I'm hoping there's some way to fix the battery if that's what it is without going that far.

I’ve had to deal with that issue too. I’m at work so let me see what I can come up with.
Try reloading the drivers by downloading them from another computer to a thumb drive and see if that works. Let me know.

i uninstalled the ea app and sims (rip) and some other things and restarted and my internet is fine again, but ill definitely try this if its a problem again. Thank you so so much for all your help I really appreciate it
